I walked behind this guy the other day.
A homeless guy asked him for money.
He looks right at the homeless guy and says why don’t you go get a job you bum.
People always say that to homeless guys like it's always that easy.
This homeless guy was wearing his underwear outside his pants.
I’m guessing his resume isn’t all up to date.
I’m predicting some problems during the interview process.
I’m pretty sure even McDonalds has a “underwear goes inside the pants” policy.
Not that they enforce it really strictly, but technically I’m sure it is on the books.

It's all about making things cheaper and still taste decent. Frito-lay, Nabisco, all the snack cookie and chip companies, the ****ing candy companies, ect. For a buck I can get a lot more chips than I can a bannana. Which one is healthier? I look at the fat content of foods and it's like "WTF?"

Somehow using oil to fry foods is cheaper than baking them, using electricity in an oven, to bake.... is more expensive than frying.... when the oil has to be produced from healthy, low fat vegetables first.

"Wait. Veggies are low fat, how do they get all that fatty oil from them?"

By destroying a lot of ****ing vegetables. Enough to feed a third world ****ing country for decades.

Ever wonder about that high-fructose corn syrup you see on the side of soda cans? As the number one ingredient next to water?

Yeah. You're drinking a byproduct of that oh so tasty sweet startch we call corn. Except, in the form it's in, it's extremely unhealthy. HFCS has a higher fructose-glucose ratio than sucrose, normal table sugar. It's also in such a high quantity that your body will not convert all of the sugar into glucose (Glucose being simple sugars, the mains ource of energy your body has) nor burn all of what it creates, and, to keep it form sitting around doing nothing, will turn it all into fat cells, depositing them around your body for use at a later date.

To explain a little better....

Glucose is the simple sugar used by your body.

Fructose is a bad sugar that can do a lot of bad things to your body, and must be broken down into glucose before it's usable.

Sucrose is exactly 1 part fructose and 1 part glucose. Sucrose being normal, white, cane or beet sugar.

High fructose corn syrup is corn syrup with fructose added for sweetening. It's anywhere from 55% to 90% pure fructose, and 45% to 10% glucose.

What really gets me about it is it's been nearly 15 years since studies into fructose began, and the FDA isn't doing jack shit to limit it's usage in foods, nor are they trying to control fat content in foods.

Think about it, people in Equador have their own lives to worry about, why would they waste their time hating and bitching about us? It seems like a matter of self-importance to me. Funny. My co-workers and I were talking about JUST this topic before work was finished.

Alot of Canadians (around me anyways) have alot of disdain for Americans. Why? Probrably the common ignorance that they have of our country. I will say though, that with the internet, alot of those stereotypes are being dismantled.

I can't tell you how many times I've spoken to Americans, and they've thought that I'm some Dumb Canadian who doesn't know anything.

Case in point:

I was in the States-side of Niagara Falls. My b/f and I at the time were going to do some sightseeing/touring around on the American side. So we were trying to find a mall or something that we had seen on the map we had bought. Unsure of the best way to go, we pulled over to take a gander at it.

As we're studying the map, a guy comes over and knocks on the window. My b/f rolls down the window and the guy asks us if we're lost. We tell him how we're trying to find the mall that we see on the map. So he decides to give us directions. He tells us to go back over to the Boulevard, and take a right.

We had passed numourous Boulevards on our way to where we were. I asked him which Boulevard he meant (meaning name). He turns around, and yells to his friends "HEY GUESS WHAT? THESE CANADIANS DON'T KNOW WHAT A BOULEVARD IS!!!"

My bf and I were like 'Uh.. yeah we do, but what's the street name of it you dumbass! We passed a Winston Churchill Boulevard, a Tom Garongh Boulevard, a Butt**** idaho boulevard... NEED TO BE MORE SPECIFIC thanks!"

And if that were the only confrontation that I've had with Americans who seem to think I'm inept because I'm Canadian, then I would have figured it was just that guy. But I've had tons who seem to think I know nothing. Because I apparantly live a shelted canadian life. LOL!

Personally I don't care (as I often don't) what people think of me, so whatever, they want to think I'm naive, then go for it. But alot of the people around me, at work, at home... all pretty much think the same thing. That Amercians think they're god's gift to whatever and the rest of us suck ass.

But anyway, I have to say that yeah, America is pretty stupid, but we have a lot more freedoms than most countries do, but when you sit and think about it, some of them aren't that big of a deal.

And it's a shame that Obesity is the worst thing in the US. But it doesn't surprise me. (I saw Super Size Me, heh.) Seeing that movie made me give up fast food, and think about eating better.

^ our healthcare is awesome. Hell I've gotten in a fight which resulted in me breaking my 2 knuckles. I got into the hospital at 2am, left at 3:30am with a cast on and a surgery scheduled pending the proper ID that I didn't have on me. Now, try and get that done in any major US city without ID let alone without insurance.

As for America, they're what I like to call educated moron's. They're one of the richest countries in the world, with some of the best education systems in the world (deffinetely not #1) yet they have some of the highest murder rates and have THE most dangerous man in the world running the country. That is why they take the cake as my least favorite country. I love some of you, but your government is putting the rest of the world at far too much risk. Do you honestly think China/N.Korea/Iran would have any reason for researching and creating nuclear arms if you guys didn't try to police the world telling everyone to destroy them while using their 15,000 nukes as a scare tactic? Both my parents died at age 46, my mom had been on a very strict diet since her early twenties due to renal failure.
When I think about them both, I wonder what's the point on taking care of yourself, I mean, my mom still died of her disease, even if she dieted and did everything she had to do, and my dad?, he died on an airplane crash even before he could even begin to think about his health.
But, then, I remember what I'm going through at this moment in my Nutritional Sciences classes, and I realize that it isn't about looking spiffy; it is about life quality, by that, what I mean is that the consequences of obesity are very bad to your body and that ruins your later years pretty bad:

Spoiler: From nasogastric cateters (that's a tub entering your nose and going all the way to your stomach in order to feed you), waste pouches (connected to your intestines) and other nasty procedures, due to diseases such as nutrition-related disorders that prevent you from using your stomach and or your intestines, to losing your limbs, due to diabetes, to incurable bed sores that go all the way to the bone, due to weight-related inability to move.

And I realize that that extra burger or cookie, or whatever isn't really worth it.

On topic:
People loves to hate the U.S., I see that a lot in the young people my country of origin.
It makes you look as if you are breaking the mold, you are a rebel, you don't fall for the allures of the U.S.!.
But, the minute they get the chance to, either come on vacation, or live in the U.S., they do it in a second flat.

I don't know about americans being arrogant, they all treat me with the utmost respect, and, in the end, the arrogance bit can be applied to the inhabitants of most every nation out there (no, I'm not giving out names) it is all a matter of perspective and of missinformation.

IMO I think smoking and drinking shuld be illegal.Smoking kills but second hand smoke kills more.I also think drinking should be illegal because of all the drunk drives,I almost got killed once when my dad was driving and drinking..it was scary as hell.marijuana shouldn't be legal because it affects your brain when you're high.So it dosen't do much damage to your brain but it still impairs you.
