I would have to say the kingdom hearts series(1and2) and the .hack// series. The .hack// series was one of the best games i have ever played for ps2(with some exceptions). And also Suikoden series. i thought it was good to.

i have played kh,i did say besides ff and kh is still ff to me

definelty go with kingdom hearts 1 or 2 and dragon quest 8 is alot of fun. And also any tales game( tales of destiny,symphonia)

My first suggestion would be Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. It's a fairly easy game, but what makes it so enjoyable, at least for me, is the experience you get out of playing it. The story, music and characters combined with smooth gameplay and interesting puzzles all provide a unique experience and create a somewhat "storybook" atmosphere.

EDIT: Hell, you might as well go for all three in the Prince of Persia series, although I still find Sands of Time to the best, and since it's the first, you aren't missing anything from the story. The second and third games are indeed good, but I'd suggest playing them much later, after the "magic" of the first wears off. I played Warrior Within right after SoT and was pretty much shocked at how much things had changed.

Res Evil 4, much much better than the others (don't be put off by the name). It's different enough to warrant it, you won't be dissapointed.

Grandia 2 is incredible and is up there with the best of the RPGS available.

The "Tales Of" games are superb too

plus Dragon Quest 8 is meant to be awesome.

There are other enjoyable games on there; some more obsure than others. I loved Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 (not unlike Diablo on the PC), Dynasty Warriors 3,4 and 5 (mega mosh-ups) and stuff like Jack and Daxter etc. . Mercenaries was mentioned earlier, which is GTA in a warzone

Guess it all depends what type of games you're into really

can people please stop recommending kingdom hearts?I have said numerous times to numerous people that I have played it and I still add it to the Final Fantasy category.Thanks.

Well, just because you yourself see it as part of FF, doesn't mean everyone else does. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, so you don't really have the right to shun them.

Edit: Just because it has FF Characters cameo appearances, doesn't make it part of the FF Franchise. Which, if you want to get down to technical terms, it's not. It's made by SE, yes, but it's also made by Disney as well.
But hey, if you want to categorize it as an FF, go ahead. Nobody's stopping you.

you REALLY need to play devil may cry 3, the special edition version is greatest hits, so its only $20, a real bargain for a game that great.

i wasn't shunning anyone,plus i've played it many times,i'm just sick of trying to tell people i've played it and then people don't read my replies to others and they keep posting it,sorry and i never said they weren't entitled to their opinions

I think the guy is telling people to stop recommending a game that he has already played, because that is pretty much one of the most pointless things ever. "Recommend some games! I've played Kingdom Hearts and this, and this and this!" "Oooh, you should play Kingdom Hearts!" It doesn't really get you anywhere.

Also, I'm not 100% sure about this, but I think Kingdom Hearts was made by Square-Enix. Specifically. Production and Distribution, development, etc. Disney had a hand in it, and I think that hand extended specifically to "Yeah, you can use our cast." Then again, I absolutely despise the series.

Mortal Kombat

That is all I can really think of at the moment. The last two are not RPG's, but WWE has a cool option where you can create your own character. Mortal Kombat is just a personal favorite of mine.
