You know I just posted in a thread earlier about my favorite RPG's besides the FF series, and I just knew that I was leaving one out. Dang IT this was the one. I still own this game. In fact it is the only non FF RPG that I still own for the PSX. I played this game for hours and hours and hours. The characters were great, the game play was fantastic, and the story riveting. Quite right, one of the best RPG's outside the FF series. This was and is one rocking game!!!!!!!

I agree, it is a very good game out side of FF. The only thing that could of made it better is when you get the Devine Dragoon you can summon the Devine Dragon, now that would of been cool. And after me talking about this, i bet you all can figuer out which Dragon/Dragoon i like.

Ya, I'm guessing i'll agree with most everyone. It was a great game. Dart did seem a little Cloud-ish, haha. Anyways, the addition system was actually fun for me. There are a few that annoyed the crap outta me but they were pretty great. The story was quite intriguing. But hey, that's just me =P

Might one of the additions that bugged you be Hard Blade for Rose? I know that one bugged me a lot.

Roses additions were the easiest for me. I didn't play for a while and when I played again I got her demons dance on the first try while it took me an hour to used to my other partie member's additions.

I like the faster additions. I always play with meru in my team because she's fast paced and I liked how she flowed when she did additions, like water. MAkes sense I guess.

YEs it is the best ps1 game I ever played. The story line is great and the weapons look good to be on a ps1.

I liked this game alot. The battles where crative you had cool powers, and the story was great. I got addicted to it for awhile there. The only thing that bothered me about it was that the last boss was kinda hard for me to beat = /

Moon strike really ticked me off. I couldn't get those two fast ones then the spin right, then when I finally got those down the last stabs were in the way. I loved madness hero though. Once you learned how fast was too fast it was easy to do.

Haschel was like lavitz for me. He'd go in kind of slow then suddenly speed up the puch and finish it before you got time to realize it.

Legend of Dragoon was a masterpiece in terms of story, characters, and battle system. Sure it was pretty cliche, but thats what sometimes keeps an audience. Everybody is so hellbent on going outside cliche that we don't really get games that follow it. Legend of Dragoon had a Powerful plotline and excellent battle, but the one thing the game lacked was graphics. I'm not saying this to seem like its really that important to the game because I don't buy the games for the shiny graphics. The FMV were great but the field screen really bothered me. Especially in Locan. It was very hard to navigate through the game sometimes because you really couldn't see where you were and navigation in these spots was especially tedious and annoying. I don't mind bad graphics, but if they interject into the enjoy of a game its a problem. Other then that the game was wonderful. I'm kind of sad there isn't a sequel or even a remake in the works because the game was awesome. 'Tis a shame.

It was so great it didn't need good graphics, though they would have been nice. The one thing I'd have liked to have seen was instead of seeing the same weapon all the time, have the weapons change when you change the equipment, like in final fantasy.

What I noticed about graphics was the details. I don't know if it was to make up for the graphics or a replacement, but the details were always there. From the crows flying around and leaves blowing in the wind to the flowers and water senery in towns. They loved to add those little details to the mix.

I once saw a petition an the internet for making a sequal on the PS2. I don't know what happened to it but I saw one once.

Yea, sometimes in order to get good details you have to sacrifice graphics, and other things.

While I totally agree thats not really the point I was addressing. I was addressing that it was hard to navigate the field screen sometimes (especially in Locan) because the graphics were poor. They made the resolution even lower for the locan interiors when they just should have made the interiors have separate rooms. I was saying the poor graphics on those particular screen impeded on gameplay and entertainment, because they were truly a nuisence.

The addition system was truly a great Battle System. While there was some room for improvement in the Dragoon Additions and Magic, but no ones perfect. I had the harest time with Lavitz/Albert additions especially after
Spoiler:
Lavitz died

, because the timing in the additions changed a slight bit and the additions were almost unpredictable in terms of timing.

My cousin was here for a month and played it. He loved using lavitz and got really ticked when albert was different and not as slow.

Lohan was a bit annoying, but you get used to it. The main problem I had was I couldn't find the staircase outside to go down from the shops and couldn't figure out why the arrows were gone from all the entrances.
