I needed some opinions on how to purnounce the famous sword from final fantasies 1, 2, 5, 7, 9, 10, and 10-2 Masamune. My friend says it is purnounced (Ma-sa-moon-ay) I say it is purnounced (Ma-sa-moon) Which is it? | ||||||||

 | I would agree with your friend. Although no-one has actually said it in game, I have always pronounced it Ma-Sa-Mew-Ni. I also used to say Tie-Dus though so don't necessarily trust me lol!

| You have the western way of saying it. Your friend has it right from the original Japanese it's from. It's right both ways really. It just depends if you want it to be from your cultures way of saying it or the cultures it came from ways of saying it.

  | Yes. The original japanese way of saying it is Ma-sa-moon-ay. =P But as Hisari said, both ways are correct depending on which culture you want to say it as. ^^
