I love pencil drawing that aren't so detailed and decked out to try and be the best. I do a lot of stuff like that too.

You are talented, do you just draw what you see in life when you're out and about or do you sit at home and think of something to draw?

Hmm, I dun' like it.

Sorry, but I don't. Not being nasty, but it doesn't look like two hours of work has been put into this. It has no texture, the smudging makes it look horrible, and it seriously needs colour to it.

For drawings like this, a good black pen would do the world of good. Just the outline of the stem and petals, and instead of colour-shading, do some cross-hatching, which is basically doing loadsa light lines where there should be shade, and then do some more, crossing the other lines, and emphasis that technique more in the darker areas. That'll look pretty decent even without colour, and it'll still be simple, and tidy at the same time. Then if you wanna colour it, use different shades of red pencil, or scan it in and CG it.

Use pencil, very lightly before using the pen, though, so if you make any mistakes, rub it out and then fix it. Then use the pen to go over the pencil, and when you've done that, use your rubber on it to get rid of any pencil marks still visible.

I went back and looked at the thing and noticed he said it was two hours, I didn't notice that. =/ yeah it should have taken like, five to ten minutes to draw it.

This is a very good piece of art, it has good textures, good shading and the size is perfect. Keep more of this coming, I enjoy to look at them.

The only reason it took me so long was because I rubbed it out about 50 times, I saw some roses when I went out so I took a pic and decided to draw it, but I couldnt get the shapes of it right, then the shading kept getting messed up. Meh, I do take long to sketch things, I'll keep going till I like it myself.

I thought It would be like a 20 min sketch but wow, especially the side petals? They took me the longest to get right.

I dont like it that much, sorry but yeah. I think that there is too much shade on the flower and you can barely see where the real shade is. You should work on a little bit on putting darker tones and then lighter and then a little shade. Up until now it looks nice but like I mentioned before it still needs some work

Im telling her the truth Im not trying to be mean if you keep complimenting a person without telling the truth then that person is never going to see a mistake. I always tell the people this but Im very straight-forward, Im always going to say what I think.
So yeah like I said before it is pretty good but the shading is not very good and yeah you should add more petals
