New Job... YAY!

Wow - I haven't posted in the General Chat Forum in years, but hey, I hope to get more active sooner than later.

Well I got the 'official' offer today for my new job and I accepted. I start working full-time May 15th after Mother's Day.

I am going to be a Database Analyst and Web Developer for the University of Missouri College of Medicine. It is a GREAT job and I can not wait to start. I haven't even graduated yet either. I am going to take night classes next semester, so it is going to work out. I still plan to graduate next December then start my MBA.

Anyways, I hope to spend the extra money on TFF. I know I already bought the new dedicated server, but I hope to buy some new scripts and upgrade the admin panel. There are a number of things I can't wait to do, just wait and see ^^. I will finally have MONEY to put back to TFF... it is so exciting.

I just wanted to post the good news for everyone. I know it isn't that big of deal but I'm reeeeal excited!

Can I get a hell yeah?

I mean honestly, this is a big step for me. I need the benefits since I'm getting married July 7th (http://www.kadeeandsteve.com/. I think this will finally 'regularize' my life. God damn... I hope I don't get a mini-van soon... I refuse! bah.

So the real question here is... why am I not invited to the wedding? That's my sister's birthday though, so I would have to politely decline anyway.

To the rest of the topic... it's about time! I know you've been rocking on your heels waiting for that offer to come along -- I'm glad it did. You've got a huge job sitting on your plate now, but as important as it is, it shouldn't be too time-consuming. Those are the best kinds of jobs to have. Congratulations!

Wowser, a big step indeed! First of all, a big
congratulations for getting the job at the university.
They won't regret hiring you because we all know you
are a dedicated, hard worker, and you seem to be
awesome at what you do here or us.
Secondly, congratulations in taking your relationship
to the next level. I saw the site, and I have to say,
you two look cute together! I love that verse too!

Anyway, these are two very big steps in life, and I
wish you luck in your endeavors!

Congradulations! I was looking through the site the other day and amazed on what you already have on here, and can't wait to see what else you have in store. Good luck on the Job sir, I think I start a course in June and I hope to learn a bit more about web design and programming. Also congrads on the wedding, you are a lucky man

And hell - if anyone of you guys are in the Missouri area in July, feel free to come to the wedding, haha. I mean it! It would be crazy to finally meet a loyal TFF member in person. Cesar... I'm counting on you to show up. Your sister will understand

Anyways, thanks again. I have been waiting for this job for 3 months now.... The university is soooo slow... only because it is a huge bureaucracy. It is probably the biggest employer in Columbia, so I'm thankful to hop aboard.

Well, I'd definately come to the wedding if I wasn't overseas right now. You know, I got married in my wife's hometown of Joplin, Missouri. Maybe my wife and I will pay you a visit when I get out of the Army this coming January. I'll be moving to OKC, Oklahoma but driving all over Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas to visit family and friends.

Congrats on the new job. Good things come to those who work hard for it and we all know you are a hard working, dedicated person. I wish you luck and happiness on your new family and career.

Yes, it's 1 Corinthians Chapter 13, not all the verses though, you probably started on like verse 5 or something and ended at like 10, as it doesn't have the part where he says my favorite line in verse 2, "If I don't have love, I am nothing", and the last verse "Faith, Hope, Love, and the greatest of these is love".

It's one of the most commonly used sections of the bible, I actually read that at my sisters wedding last year. The whole chapter is about the Greatness of Love.

N' yes, you both look very happy, so tell us sometime the greatness of love why don't you.

I hope you got hooked up with a good salary, then down the road some will come mini-Fuzz's setting up new forums for new games all over the web^^. lol

Are you sure you're going to need that minivan anytime soon, though? Are you going to be having little Fuzzes running all over the place?! You may need something bigger than a minivan.
