I fell in love with it. The graphics were great (even though I'd already seen them on the Japanese versions.) The voice-overs were actually nicer than I thought they would be. Then I also loved the characters (once again, seen them.). But all in all- they did a good job. Two thumbs up.

I just got the Movie for DVD today and boy was it worth the money! The animation and the fight scenes with Sephiroth was amazing! From the voiceovers to seeing Aeris again it was a pure masterpiece. I for one was looking forward to seeing Aeris again in this sequel cause her death in the game was very sad and heartbreaking at least for me. The movie itself was awsome and the Giant Bauhmat fight scene was so cool. If I had to rate this movie I would give it a powerful 5 stars.

It is worth playing the game just to familarize yourself with the characters. Although if you watch the movie first you may end up spoling some parts of the game. The movie is based after the game. The characters from the game are in the movie. If you buy the disc it does have a section of FF VII the game. It basically shows a little less then half an hr worth.

I think you would still enjoy the movie but you will proabably enjoy it more after playing FF VII. My advice is to play the game but if you can't wait go out and watch this movie. You may not understand some parts unless you do play the game.

Forgot to answer the beggining question.

Yeah the spin offs are kinda annoying in some ways. Even this movie as good as it was sometimes its better to leave things open ended. Sometimes you want to imagine for yourself what happened. Although I loved this movie.

I didnt liked it very much. It was cool and eveything but I dont think it is too much my type, it was just action. I prefer FFX and FFX-2 story.

It had a lot of pretty, breath-taking action scenes, and we got to see the FF7 crew again. We also got to see some of the characters in a new light; I didn't remember Reno being such a silly character. I didn't really remember much about him at all. After this, however, I love the duo of him and Rude.

However, while it was action-packed, it lost the ability to tell much of a story. There was a little bit of story explanation thrown in during the first half hour or so, and then after that it's almost nonstop action. Luckily the majority of it made sense to me, but I still felt like it could've done well with more... not-action... >_> (I'm starting to use that face a lot now...)

It also pissed me off that the entire FF7 party, besides Cloud, Tifa, and Vincent, show up at the very end and do next to nothing. "Well, we were in the neighborhood apparently, and we just happened to know exactly where you were, and that you might need help. ...or something." (Oh yeah; Aeris was in there a little bit, and Red XIII is in at the very beginning, in the same scene as FFVII's ending. So big deal for him.)

Still, the pretty action sequences, and getting to see and the old characters at all gives this movie a 7 out of 10 for me.

It could have had something to do with the whole.. completely ruining that part of the city up. Or something. You know, right?

I did not like the game. In fact, I hate it to this day. But the movie was alright, probably because I did not like the game. And because I'm not extremely opinionated, which happens to be a common trait among the people who really, really hate this movie.

It was 4-ish.

That doesn't explain how they would know exactly where Tifa is, however. And it doesn't explain where they came from prior to that. I want to know these things, see? Plus, if they'd explained that, they would've had to have had the other characters in there at least a little longer...

I thought the movie was really good and I don't think you need to play the game to understand it. Frankly, I didn't play the game and only got it because it possesed the FF name. I honestly didn't know it was a continuation of FFVII, I loved it, though.

I bought the movie yesterday and my god those graphics are absolutly brilliant, the plots kinda stupid but then all the games are like that.
But the fight scenes were definately some of the very best I have ever seen

The movie costed 15$ bucks for me, but I just used my handy dandy Blockbuster card.

I`ve only seen half of it. It`s pretty good, but it seems more like cutscenes from games than a movie.

The dialogue is just weird.

My mom got it for me. She knows i'm in love with final fantasy. so she surprised me when she bought it for me. (she usually thinks it's a waste of time.) but anyway...

I thought the movie was pretty good. graphics were breathtaking! i had my eyes glued to the screen.. i wasnt sure if i even blinked during the movie.. anyway, the fight scenes are cool, but the story could have been better. plus, the turks are there! (yay reno! he made me laugh. ) so, yeah i thought it was good.
