I got it before it went on the shelves. I went to Wal-Mart's at midnight and they were stocking the shelves and I told them I was looking for the Final Fantasy Movie. The one lady took it out of the box and gave me it. But it had two movie's together, One is Final Fantasy/The Spirits Within and the other one was Final Fantasy VII/Advent Children. I all ready have Final Fantasy The Spirits Within, so I gave it to my Mom, because she is a big fan of Final Fantasy too. I watched Final Fantasy VII/ Advent Children when I first got home and I Loved it. It followed from the game and Cloud looked so hot better then he did in the game. I wish they make more movies out of our favorite Final Fantasy games. I was so excited when I got the movie and I couldn't wait to get home and watch it and I kinda cried at the end of the movie, because I was so happy that Cloud saved the day again.

Kind of a perverted reason, but I wish they used Tifa's orginal costume. We all know why

Mmmm wonderful CG-boobie goodness!

i waited for ffac for ages and i was sursprised by the sudden uk release date.
but i loved the film its truly a sequel to the game and those new costumes are great and its good to see the fight scenes because i think cloud has grown a lot in his strength even though he cant forgive himself about aeris ultill later,he acts like he killed her but we know who did he still lives in the past, but at least he gets over it.

It was nice. I'd seen the japanese version about 3 times before it came out in stores. I really liked it, the first time I was just like *drool*. Reno was awesome, definately my favorite character in the film.

I liked Vincent and Sephiroth's voices in the english version, when Greg Newburn(that's seph's voice actor's name right?) said, "Good to see you, Cloud." I got wet in the pants. I was somewhat disappointed though, a lot of the english version lines were lame, especially when Loz called Reno a "meanie" and when they had to change some things to make the dialogue fit the lip movements of the characters. I liked Reno and Kadaj's japanese voices better though.

As far as favorite costume modifications, I'd pick Reno, although I dunno how much they modified his stuff. I liked his costume the best. Seems like everyone was wearing way too much leather though ya know. Tifa, Kadaj, Loz, a lot of them. They were all chaffing I tell you. Leather doesn't breathe ya know.

But yeah nice film. Made me forget about The Spirits Within(mine didn't come with this movie as well, it just had a bunch of extra features, odd huh?).

I'd watch an FF8 film if they made it, although they probably wouldn't give Laguna enough screentime... Anyway I'm wandering off topic.

EDIT:

Oh and Cloud did nothing but piss me off in this movie. I'm surprised he doesn't have scars all over his wrists and down his arms from him being so f*cking emo. Aeris this Aeris that. What the hell ever. Zack be taxin that a$$ in the afterlife.

Did anyone else laugh their a$$ off at Cait Sith's more than subtle accent?

The film was great. I just loved seeing my favourite group of FF characters doing something else rather than FFVII over and over It was just generally very, very cool!

I think Cloud's costume modifications were the best in AC. Way better than the SOLDIER uniform...

I was disappointed not to see the huge fluffy white thing cait sith rides on... but i guess it would have spoiled the mood of the movie... Tifa's costume change pissed me off and Cid didn't seem much different. I loved seeing them all battling together. I saw Last Order about a month before Advent Children because i was lusting for some final fantasy! its awersome but there are a few differences from in the agme to the short anime film that have caused loads of debates about which is the most accurate to the real events.

New Zeland only got Advent Children today, which was kinda sucky. But thats okay, cause I brought it last September while I was in Japan

The one, and only, thing I didn't like about the english version was the voices. Ok, some of there were okay, and some were even good (Seph for one), but I found that generally, they lacked anything resembling emotion. And when there was emotion, it sounded pretty forced.

I'm not dis-respecting the movie in anyway, I'm just saying that the voices in the Japanese audio track are tres cooler. That and the english subtitles are a better translation than the english script, not having to worry about making the lips match and all. I mean, "Shilly Shally"?! What the heck is that supposed to be?

I noticed the english version has the japanese audio track on it. I suggest you try watching it with that and english subtitles. You'll see what I mean.

Apart from the voices, it was nice to be able to fully understand the storyline.

My Favourite lines:
"... Where can I buy a phone?" / "Denwaya doko da?"
"It's good to see you, Cloud" / "Hisashiburi da ne, kuroudo"

I have both Last Order and AC. ...Fansubbed. So therefore, I got it several months before America did. >>;
I don't think I'm getting the DVD though..or maybe I will when it drops down to like 20$ or so.

Its out in the U.S. here, so it should be out in Canada.

As far as I know, all of North America has the same release dates on games and movies...

I think.

Edit: Piro-Do you have Best Buy out in Cali? Its only 14.99 there.
