Mascara is my friend. I don't use much else because I just know I'll **** it up.

I have contacts. Not only are glasses retarded (they stick in your face with a hit to the head) but I'm already blind at 19 and I don't want to go past -7. Lenses take care of that.

And aging women, stop plastering your faces with orange makeup and bright blue eyeshadow. Lipliner that doesn't follow your lip line and platinum hair that...just eew.

Less is more and all that good shit.

Jet feels girls don't need makeup to be georgeous. Sure, it's okay, but if you wear heaps? It's not really doing you any favors with us guys. I know some guys that love it when their girls pile it on, like a fetish? Personally, I hate it. Eye liner and a little lip stick is alright with me. Mascara isn't too bad either. Foundation, however, is something I feel girls are using too much of. I know chicks that use so much of that shit, you can see the line on their neck where the mascara stops. It's fucking retarded!

A lot of girls need to feel pretty by wearing make up though. I used to wear tons an tons of thick balck eyeliner. thinking it gave me a smoldering look, but in reality it gave be aweful black stuff in the corner of my eyes that I had to dig out. On occasion I wear it, but if you rely too much on your make up , it can become to where you will do anything to have it on. i think that is where all that surgery stuff is coming from. Girls always try to one-up eachother when it comes to beauty. Soon as too many people look "just a beautiful" as you wearing make up, you feel like you have to do the next big thing. Even if it is applying make up every 4 hours, or getting nip tucked

Not necissarily. Someone can be quite beautiful wihtout makeup, but still not feel good about themselves. That's merely a low self confidence issue. Also, someone can be beautiful without makeup but still enjoy putting it on because they like the way it makes them look; that's completely independant of how they looked beforehand.

I like it better when people use makeup to enhance what they have, I really dislike it when they use it to cover absolutly everything up. Like porceline dolls. Yuck.

Honestly, I have met very few girls that look good without absolutley 0 makeup. A little dash of makeup can help enhance a girl's look by tenfold; i'm all for it. The Mimi-types need to stay the f away though, that's the kind of stuff I despise.

I MUST agree with her. I might wear some eye shadow and liner, light lip gloss on special occasions, but that's about it. Once in a while some foundation to hide the darkness around my eyes, but again, only on special occasions. some women waste hours a day putting on and fixing makeup, then complain there's not enough time in the day to get everything done. If she would just be natural and accept her looks as is, she would be able to do a lot more.

Have you seen mug shots of the stars when they're arrested, without their hair done and makeup on??? They look like totally different people, your average joe, with MANY flaws.

I agree, I just think make up brings out the real beauty. I do not think that it creates it but I only think it exentuates beauty. Did I spell exentuate right? I think the only time make up looks good is in clubs or dark rooms with minimal lighting

I see nothing wrong with wanting to enhance what you have, unfortunatly alot of people think that you need to wear a pound of makeup to pull it off.

Although I laugh everytime I read that the whole "point" of makeup is to make it seem like you're not wearing anything at all.

The whole reason people wear the makeup in the first place is to make us look more "healthy" (this was in an article... just retyping from memory)

The article said it went back to the caveman days where women who looked "healthy" were considered to be more fertile. Hence, the eyeliner to contrast the whites of the eyes... making them seem whiter. The red lipstick to make your lips appear fuller and healthier, blush to give you a "healthy" glow, foundation to even out skin tone.

I found it a fascinating read. Makes sense though when you think about it.

Make-up has been used since ancient times.

Ancient Egyptian women used to crush foods and things to use it as eye shadow. And they would stick perfume combs on top of their heads. Physical enhancement has meant a lot to women since as long as ancient history seems to recall. I used to use a ton of make-up when I first started out.

I like my eyes, so I like to use mascara, eyeliner and eye shadow. Just not too much. I don't use anything else really, unless it's a big event I'm going to, or if I want to look nicer for my boyfriend.

I'd even venture to say that most women are perfectly beautiful with close to none.

Society puts lots of pressure on us girls to look good and look 'the part'. It's really hard when you don't fit the standards ._.
