2,217  | You could work backwards if you wanted to, yes, but it wouldn't flow as well and you'd be a bit confused about some things in reload. As far as endings go, the series never had a good ending, so it doesn't matter.  I'm fairly certain that you saw the origional series ending, because there are exactly 9 volumes and last I heard, Reload still has yet to finnish. The anime finished with Gunlock (which doesn't follow Reload all that well, hard too when it hasn't ended), but they still haven't reached India.

2,217 | The great (and stupid) thing about Saiyuki is how incredibly long it actually takes them. In the Reload manga, they celebrate their one year anniversery since they left. How slow is that jeep, I wonder? One good thing about the Reload anime is the brief urasai segments at the end. They're short humourous (and addmittingly, sometimes stupid) little skits involving the 4 main characters. One of them actually was about why the couldn't use a plane. Heh.

1,131 | I figured the reason why they oculdn't use a plane cis because this took place in Historical Japan. Then again, I have been wondering, they give the planet a weird name that isn't Earth and they have to go to India, yet there are ancient creatures like Youkais and stuff. This series confuses me. Anyways, I think I'll just stick with reading the manga since I'm finally viewing the Trigun anime on my computer for the first time (Only read the manga) and Saiyuki is a pretty long series. Are the original series for the manga and anime similar?

90  | Saiyuki may never be over ... but I've heard that Tokyo Pop has decided to run Minekura's Bus Gamer as a pilot next month to see if it warrants taking on that series. I think they're looking for another Saiyuki to land them big bucks ... I'm hoping that it does well
