Oh Snap! Eragon!

For those who don't know "Eragon", it's a book from the author Chrisopher Paolini about a boy who finds an large stone (AKA Dragon's egg), and discovers his life. The funny and ironic thing about this is yesterday I was thinking, "Ya know, they made Harry Potter and this book is getting a lot of hype too, so it should become a movie.", AND I WAS RIGHT! I haven't read either books completely though just yet, but they are good. I am enjoying it quite a lot and with this current cast I feel it may be a good movie. The link's below...

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0449010/

And just to get a better picture, here's what it says on the back of the book.

Quote:

Overnight his simple life is shattered, and he is thrust into a perilous new world of destiny, magic, and power. With only an ancient sword and the advice of an old storyteller for guidance, Eragon and the fledgling dragon must navigate the dangerous terrain and dark enemies of an Empire ruled by a king whose evil knows no bounds.
Can Eragon take up the mantle of the legendary Dragon Rdiers? The fate of the Empire may rest in his hands.
(lol, I just wrote all that without looking, damn I'm good)

I have it but have not gotten into it. It's hard to get into. What happens? I might watch the movie and then read the book

Eragon is a good book. It has magic and action. Dragons are cool so that's another reason why I like it. The movie must be real good. Oh Devil, have you read the sequel, Eldest?

Well I just finished off the first book last night and wow, damn I'm so glad I actually got the sequel before the first book so now I won't have to go look for it, lol. But yeah, the movie will probably be coming out in the summer/late summer or later, BUT thanks to youtube being so kickass I found a trailer! W00t, this frichen rules. Check it out people.

It'll take awhile to load, but it has good shit. I'm kind of sad they didn't show Saphira though, oh well lol. But anyway, READ THE BOOK PEOPLE! DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED!

Should I read Eragon before Eldest? Will I get into it? Will I understand it even though I have not read the first? I like books done by people like Darren Shan and Garth Nix. Those sort of fantasy/adventure ones.

Eragon is the first installment of the series, so yes read it first. Yes, you'll get into it. And once you first the first you'll understand EVERYTHING from Eldest. It's a definite fantasy/adventure.
