So we've had this topic many, many a time now. =P What'll another one hurt, ne? Anyways, what do you do to make that money money moooooney. Money! Yeah... >.>; Anyways, I'm a Sportservice Cook, currently at the new Busch Stadium, used to be at the Edward Jones Dome. For those that don't know, Busch Stadium is the home of the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team, I work in a kitchen in the basement, cooking for the Cardinal Club Lounge, a fine dining area accesible only to those who have tickets for the green seats (Club seats, directly behind home plate, most expensive seats in the house) At the Edward Jones Dome, home of the St. Louis Rams football team, I worked as a Lead Cook (The title Lead implies supervisor, it also means they cut my overtime as such) where I "ran" (This is where the title Lead came from) a buffet on the club level. I'm currently not working here due to... you know.... the football off season? Note: I use the term New for Busch Stadium because it's just that. This year will be the inagugural (sp?) season, and we're currently one of, if not the, best baseball stadium in the country food wise.

| | I am a Retail Sales Manager for the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. Its a real fancy way of saying that I sell tires, answer the phones, and do way too much paperwork. I have been with the company for about 6 years. I started out as a shop bitch changing oil, became a technician, became a sales person, then got promoted to an RSM. I make about 35 a year, which isn't great, but it pays the bills. I am actually thinking of defecting because our competitor, Firestone, is offering me the same job for more money and less hours. My pride in my company stays me for the time being though. A lot of politics with GY these days is kind of ruining the job for me at the present time. Hell, I dunno. I am rambling. Yeah. Tires. YEAH!~

693 | Make the switch. Unless it's family owned there's no point staying with a job like that for loyalty. I was working for a logging company here as a tree faller but I'm considering heading to Alberta to work with a drilling crew. It's awesome pay, and in 20 years if I'm lucky I can head a crew and they're making up to $800 a day. Yes, a day! I'll need to get all my whms certificates and head to school for 2 years but it'll be worth it.

| | I have two jobs, can't decide which one I want to pursue more: Deli Dept. Head @ Kroger: Like JT said, a fancy way of saying I make more than the other employees, but basically do some of the same things, but do several manager-like duites like training, inventory, ordering, human resources, mark-downs, etc. It's a slack ass job, the people I work with are cool, and the day goes by quick. I started out at $8.00 an hour as a normal emlployee, but moved to $16.50 an hour + weekly store bonues based on profit after I was promoted. Graphic Designer for Hampstead: Hampstead Lighting is a European style lighting company. I know nothing about lighting nor do I want to -- All I do is help design their catalogs, trade-show materials and signs, and promotional material they give away like coffee cups, pens, shirts, etc. It doesn't pay as much as most graphic design jobs would, because I'm not college-educated, I'm part-time, and I telecommute. I get about $10.00 an hour, and I work on projects about 10-15 hours a week.... so basically this job just pays for food, gas, cigarettes, and alcohol every month ![]() | ||||||||

| | It can be. Tires, or TYRES, are actually a lot more complex than most people think. Goodyear is the 110th largest company in the world, and the technology that goes into creating the modern day radial is pretty fascinating. Our last tire, the Assurance Tripletred, took 5 years to design and produce. That thing has won awards from everywhere, including Popular Science. It was one of the top 20 must have technological thingies. I forget the exact program. OnOneRyder -- No. Its corporate owned BS.

| Blue of Blue | I work at a clothing store. It's pretty much a place where old people shop alot. I get all the stuff off the truck bring it down to the floor and when that's all done I go and try to sell it. I've been with the company for about like 3 years, though only before this I've only worked summers, now I'm year round which is good. I get to wear and dress shirt and tie which is kinda cool to look all sharp. I sell suits and all and white suede shoes to old people, and they like the way it looks, though i do try to convince them otherwise. I make $9 an hour started at $7.50 a few years back, and pretty much am hoping for a raise by mid summer. Well it's a boring job til summer hits and it gets ultra busy, but overall I like my job alot and the people there are all cool too. | ||||||||

| | Ah, the way I see it, a tyre is just something you put on a car wheel. xD But that's just because I'm real simple like that, which is pretty much the reason I became an artist. Well... "am becoming an artist" would be more correct. I'm still following my childhood career plan. xD Unlike a lot of people. o_o; It's like one of those "I wanna be a policeman when I'm older!" sort of things, only it's an Artist instead of a Policeman for me. ![]() | ||||||||

5,159 | Since everyone else is spitting out wages. At the Edward Jones Dome I started off at 10/hr. I'll get a raise up to, I don't know what, next season, if I go back. At Busch Stadium I'm at 10.97/hr with, it seems, a decent amount of OT, which is 16.45/hr.

| | Dish Washer. That's right, homies. I wash dishes for the man. I work at resteraunt called "Boston Pizza". There are quite a few of them in North America. It's probably the busiest store on earth... insane. Oh well, I've handed in my 2 weeks and have a job interview at a Hotel. I'm not quite sure what I'll be doing but I'm looking forwards to a change. | | HAHAHAHA. Washing dishes for the man. I used to have to wash the dishes by hand at my old job, but my new employers actually have a dish washer. It's awesome! I'm learning to cook now. It's about damn time too.
