It's a horrible name for a band, but these guys are ****ing insane. Really, really heavy. It's no doubt death metal. Kind of makes me wonder why they named themselves that.

Anyway, has anyone ever heard/heard of Job For A Cowboy?

Great band, horrible name.

They however are not death metal. They are metalcore, just not your typical metalcore. Instead of using Gothenburg Melo-death (ala In Flames, At The Gates, etc.) they use death metal as their influences from metal.

Genres change so much that I must be behind on the times. Pig squeals, growls, and blast beats is death metal to me (which is what JFAC pretty much consists of). I always pictured metalcore to be more along the lines of Fragments Of Unbecoming or Dead To Fall....hell, even The Black Dahlia Murder.

haha I guess my vision on genres must be getting diluted.

Metalcore is pretty much any band that mixes hardcore punk with a genre of metal, hell if a band wanted to they could mix the sounds of Blind Guardian with hardcore punk, and still be metalcore.

Aye, they are good like. We are playing with them in August in Dundee. Us, Azriel and Bring me the Horizon are the support.

They are awesome, I agree with the name it is not that bad actually when you dont really pay too much attention to it, it is just a game. I started listening to it when one of my friends was listening to them he is obsessed with that type of music, I like it a lof but it doesnt go to an obsession, it is pretty good though. <3 it
