Supernatural - Opinions

I am not so sure.....i got into it, deeply, then abondoned it. Then started doing stuff like telekinesis and telepathy and stuff, some worked, some didnt. I'm just not so sure. But i believe in it, cos i kinda, believe in spirits and their energies and memories and stuff.(This isnt sounding too intellectual is it?)

Here's my personal explanation about "supernatural" things.

Telekinesis and telepathy is the study and practise of moving and manipulating objects with the mind.

Spiritual existence are spirits of the dead.

Ouija is a board used to contact the dead, by using a glass, placing the index finger on the top of the glass and asking the supposed spirit a question, in which it will move the glass over the board to spell out a word or point to a positive or negative answer.

Scrying is holding a pointed crystal attached to a string or necklace above a map or other explanative object and gently moving it back and forth, the by itself, it "supposedly" gets faster and then stops over a certain country/other object to help find somebody or something.

Voodoo is a type of magic, used in many areas of the world to make you lucky or unlucky in other things. It is often used to help with problems in love, or to upset and or cause distress to somebody.

Natural healing is the usage of herbal remedies and aromatherapy to ease pain and help with problems without resorting to manmade drugs, such as painkillers.

Spiritual healing is the act of which a sacrifice or "spell" is cast to help restore ones' natural immune system.

Which are we discussing in this thread?

I'm thinking probably all of them though it kinda looks difficult as "supernatural" is such a broad subject.

Telekinesis and telempathy involve the mind and spiritual awareness. That actually has something to do with the supernatural.

I believe in spirits but only because of personal experiences. Not only that, spirits are the dead right? Appearantly, my awareness is not exactly the best, but it's there. I don't experiment with the supernatural or try to screw around with it, that could lead to some pretty bad stuff needless to say. But mental things do involve spiritual awareness in there somewhere, either that or hallucinations.

Supernatural things as in, spirits taking part in
things like Ouija, Voodoo, Telekinesis, spells... it all falls
under the category of witchcraft, to me.
I just think it is all evil. I'm not saying YOU are evil though

Yeah Relm pretty much covered it up. Christians find any form of drug-use to be witchcraft as well seeing how it alters the mind.

And as Relm said, we do not find those who practice witchcraft are evil, but witchcraft itself is.

Relm and Tomstrife are on the ball. Though Oiuja, Voodoo, Witchcraft, psychics, etc. may actually work someimes, Christians believe that they are under demonic control. Of course, that's not saying that the person trying to "cast a spell" or use a Ouija board or whatever is demon-posessed, but God, the only good supernatural being, doesn't act through these things.

Hmmm, very valid points, but psychics have been proven to exist, such as Telekinesis, sometimes Telepathy have been observed by scientists and proven that it isnt a trick but the use of the mind. And even i myself have found that i can feel what people are feeling and sometimes say just what theyre about to say. Im not just saying that im a Psychic because i read that everyone is. Scientists believe that we only use a percentage of our brains right? So, i believe that its not magic but simple focusing of will. Say you were going to cast a weather spell, you'd say some words but in your minds you'd be saying "make it rain" This is just like wishing on something and wanting it to happen. I think this is the mind and that we are really much more powerful than we realise. I mean think about it, how are we so much different than monkeys, technically our dna is only 2% different. So if the 1% was to give us physical changes then what did the other 1% do? I mean, you have to wonder why the hell we were created, whether God did it or not, there has to be something more than being more intelligent than animals really. And thats wat i think, that we all have undiscovered potential.

I actually think that too, humans have an "undiscovered potential." That percentage of mind usage you were talking about, last I heard, the average percent of mind usage for an everyday human is only 13%. If we are smart now, I wonder how smart we would be if we used that entire 100%. Much less, would we gain some untapped power in doing so? I wondered about that once. But I'm getting off topic, so I'll just shut up now.

those are all good points... I personally know what WaterPrince is talking about as I have experianced it. I Telephathise in my sleep, (I can hear my best friend's sleeping thoughts) and find Telekinises to work slightly when I'm angry. Some aspects of the supernatural exist. But I think Oiuja and voodoo are just self-awarenss things.

Actually Voodoo is an African religion where they make sacrifices to their God. I think its Kali or someone. And yeah, i have had only one telekinetic occurance, i was actually trying to move something and it didnt work so i looked away and it flew off the desk, anyone else had an experience like this?

No.

However, I had seen an actual sacrifice to the God in Voodoo religion. They slaughtered a chicken there and then... it was so weird, they cut off its foot and then... dripped blood all over the place. It was quite possibly one of the scariest things I'd ever seen. Maybe it's because I don't completely understand why God needs sacrifices, it's their religion, and I refuse to them for it.
