Is this path you speak of predetermined or does one have the significance to alter his or her own path
There is a somewhat famous saying along the lines of this, I feel this best describes how I feel:
Quote:
Ultimately... we are all dead men.... Sadly we cannot chose how BUT we can decide how we met that end in order that we are remembered as men.
Meaning the path has is for the most part decided both here by ourselves and from those around us. Obstacles are put in our path, how we chose to go through them is completely up to us.

I too have my own view of what I would determine to be perfect or better yet "ideal", for now that is but a whisper in the wind so to put.

These are interesting times.

I once had this idea on Evolution, but soon came to realize that any attempt to improve on evolution assumes that it has a goal (perfection in this case). Then I came to the conclusion that any purpose that one ascribes to evolution (or any other/similar natural process which is unaware) is an anthromorphization of a/that physical process, which just leads to the creation of god type things; i.e gods of the natural elements and so on.

I still like the idea though, it would make for good fiction; a never ending quest for perfection, the never ending story, heh.

Exactly so. This is one of the main reasons why we have so many bloody bibles and demoninations, simply because people have so many differing views and interpretations on the same irrational thing. The Dark Ages are so named by some, principally because Christianity instigated it by extinguishing the lights of tolerance and learning, managed the known world to its advantage, taxing the populations, suppressing knowledge and killing those who disagreed with them, which only really ended when the church had lost most of its power. If interested in this please refer: A Question from a Brit for more details on this, pages 2 and 3 by Lucifer, since this is rather of topic, so I'll stop here. My bad.

Interesting, a sort of "ignorance is bliss" type phrase. Socrates once said something a little similar, but in a different way I think:

"True knowledge exists in knowing that you know nothing." - Socrates, c.470 BC - 399 BC

Heh. I agree, and quite possible. Consider this, imagine that our world entered a new "Dark age" due to some cataclysmic event and the vast majority of all previous knowledge and facts were lost and the only book to really survive was say the Lord of the Rings. Now the few people who were left (hundreds of years from now, the old religions forgotten) could quite easily take it seriously and build a religion on that idea, worshiping the god Ilúvatar, and the Ainur as his angelic representatives. Perhaps in a thousand years, Tolkien would be seen as a prophet and his book would become a new modern age bible; not likely of course but possible. Scary thought indeed. Of course I use Tolkiens works here as an example simply because their so awe inspiring, and I very much respect his creative talents, for those who may take this example to heart.

Man am I hoping THAT's ^ a joke.

Just seemed... extremely lame and silly.

A bit like DarkViVi. Who is the lamest lame-bear on the whole world. AND he knows it. (And agrees with me, oh yes he does.)
*pokes DarkViVi's widdle forehead*.

Lucifer' is quite frightening in the Arcade.

*whimpers*

He's like Relm Overlord.

Why?

Because I really like this juice and they only make it in these tiny little packages that even an ethiopian would complain about. They need to be 150oz packages.

My brethern. Soon I will fall into the endless oblivion we all await. My doom is close and the reaper shall soon utter my name.

I was here and took the test.
My horrified eyes I learned that my day of death will come quite soon.

Saturday, October 24, 2026 to be exact. So brethren, if I am to help our organisation conquer this mortal world it should happen soon.

Seconds left to live...
1,679,386,605

What the hell? I don't want to live that long!

*takes up smoking and drinks more coke*

It's my body, I hate this body goddammit

EDIT: According to this other test I am going to live another 27 years, perhaps smoking will cut 10 years off that.

That test thing just said I'm going to live forever *shrugs*
Just good genes I guess ;-)

Ah yeah, I just noticed that Blackbeard (the pirate) was killed on this day. Here's a mighty YARRRRR! going out to Blackbeard!

*Chugs an imaginary pint of ale*

I think he would have made a good attribute to the BoD
Perhaps we could make this an official day where BoD members get togeather, get drunk, go out on raides, sale the seas and go out tresure hunting". Just thinking out loud n making conversation.

yarrrrrrrr

Well, you live near me.

Since I can't drink, due to health problems...and I don't really live near the sea... I guess we could meet up, sit around awkwardly and raid Woolworths?

This doesn't sound very fun.

Also, I enver knew Newgrounds had so many fun games!

I found a hilarious Naruto hentai game, whcih deeply disturbed me... yet... it's strangely addictive... Weird...

I found a fighting game with the Powerpuff Girls in it that was fun, hard and played just like an old Capcom game. It's amazing the things you find on Newgrounds.

Newgrounds has all sorts of sweet games. I haven't been there in ages though.

Also, my death date is...

Friday, March 1, 2058

Great.
