Well, I didn't want to make another post in here (since no one has said whether they really care if I post or not), but no one else has posted anyway... so allow me to take the opportunity to remind all of you that I've got a Tournament of Arms to run, and no ideal timeframe to run it in. If you would please, those who are interested anyway, direct your attention to this thread and give some input, I would greatly appreciate it. ^_^;; I know how adamant you guys are about RPB, and I know many of you would be good additions to the tournament.

I've been keeping my eye on it but see no reason to overtly emphasize our precense. Once sign ups for the tournament begin I will allow anyone in The Masters who wishes to participate that wish to. I'm sure I can think of a few that will be interested.

As to you posting here, Colt, I do not mind...and the same goes for other Smods and administrators, provided things do not become too cluttered. A lot of off topic posting would be frowned on as this is a thread for The Masters, but the occasional post will be fine.

Having said which, we shall arrainge for our own ambassador should the need arise, so feel free to take your ease.

Now, I've reviewed the School somewhat and I'm not sure where we should put it. I will open a thread for the Godhand to discuss this matter in our own realm.

A positive note, I've reviewed the set up for the new MMD and hereby approve it once it has been finalized. The set up is very similar to its original incarnation and I believe it should function well here.

Someone had previously asked something about joining the Masters. I understand that it caused something of a stink. I feel I ought to make something clear. ONLY Godhand members may deny an applicant entry. No other tier has this perogative and even they may be over ruled by the Grand Master.

As to how one goes about joining, if you read the initial post you should know that you must do more than simple ask 'may I please join.' We're not a simple cracker jack club that you can just say hi and join up. There are already well outlined rules that cover the structure for joining this club.

1.) If you are a past champion of a TFF sponsored tournament you are welcome to apply.
2.) Failing this, you may battle a Masters member in a Masters organized fight to determine if you are elidgable for entry.
3.) On certain, rare, occasions offer of membership will be presented to those who have demonstrated remarkable skill in battle outside of an official setting.

If you are NOT a former champion or a demonstratabley BRILLIANT fighter, then you will have to under go an organized test. I must stress that no Master other than a Godhand member may answer to requests to join, however those that post more than once in this thread without requesting trial by combat may be expelled without even being given THAT chance.

It is important to keep these things in mind.

Alright. I have time to post in our Survival thread right now. I will attempt to put a bit of history in my next post such as you have been doing Anomaly. Although... I will not add too much about it. I don't want people knowing what his ability is just yet. I also think it a perfect time to add his past into a post since he seems to be sleeping at the moment.

Well now that some posting has been done at any rate, I can make a few updated announcements.

The MMD under Godean has now been finalized and has been added to the initial club post. The MMD or Masters Military Division is the official mercinary unit of The Masters to be utilized in times of war. As was mentioned Godean is in charge of it as he was in charge of its last incarnation. all former MMD members are encouraged to join again though I believe Godean has already selected his right hand man. I'll let him say more along those lines.

If you wish to join the MMD, please contact Godean.

The School has also been reviewed and while it is approved I'm still waiting on a finalized version from the headmaster. Once that is ready it will be activated and placed in a similar position as the MMD, though there maybe a seprate thread created for it on a permanent basis on the offsite forum or in the RPB section here.

Serra, I'm sorry to hear that you don't have any further ideas for the RP plot. I'll try to bring my character up to the present and cause a bit of a ruckus for the other major players.

On a side note, it seems they've finally gotten that 'tournament of arms' thing of theirs sorted out at least for era and setting. I'll likely be entering a character just for a bit of fun and to get a feel for the other major RPers that are present here. It will be a no magic contest which is unfortunate, but all those who still wish to participate are more than welcome. If one attains a high rank in the tournament it is likely they will be similarly rewarded by the Godhand in their Masters ranking.

Don't worry about time restraints Decay...while it would be nice if you could get back to posting, when something serious comes up in your private life that takes priority.

You can fix it with html tags. I'm not sure why the 'IMG' command isn't working anymore, but if you enter < img src= then put the image you want inside two " and close it with a > the image should appear again.

Well, I know my announcements regarding the matter were vague in the details, but if you're curious, we had a couple of members who were taking advantage of the [img] tag to code in malicious popups and crap that asked for passwords and such. I never noticed this since it doesn't work in Firefox, but another admin caught it in IE.

The [img] tag has been unstable ever since its conception, and no matter how many times vBulletin patches the thing, someone always finds a way around it.

Whether the members at hand were doing so purposely or not, it was causing problems all the same. So yeah, that's why we disabled it. HTML can be just as dangerous of course, but it's a lot easier to catch someone abusing hypertext than it is when someone is abusing BB Code.

I meant all of us. Every person who's in the RPG adds to plot by posting and even can change the direction of the events.

I'm sorry for confusing you. As I said I have a general plot but it not includes direct orders for each character, what he/she supposed to do or not. I'm leaving it open for now and we'll see where to it'll lead us. See it as an experiment if you want to.

The main point in the thread is to enjoy it. I hope you are enjoying, even if it's kind of slow.

And Serra... as for your idea about how everyone controls the flow of the plot. I believe that to be a great idea. If it by chance it was an RP for others outside the Masters as well... I wouldn't see it as that great of an idea. It all comes down to circumstance.

Anyway, for the School:

The School (shall be named just that unless I decide it needs something else) shall be the training center for magic. To keep things simple, the School shall is divided into five parts. Four sections are to the 'elementals', then between them shall be a Portal, more on the Portal later.

The elementals are divided into areas consisting both of magically enclosed buildings and open land. The sections are to the directions, air in the north, fire to the east, earth to the south, and water to the west. Certain...dividers have been set between each area to prevent them from casting into another's faction. While wandering into another area uninvited it looked down upon, the home field casters always have the advantage as the terrain seems to oblige them.

The Portal is likewise specially designed. This is the 'home' of both astromancy students and other, more unique, elements. Typically, any number of people may enter the portal, even the elemental users while learning their more devastating spells. When entering the space 'inside' the Portal reacts with the person's intent for spell selection. This gives the desired room and setting able to spawn monsters for pitting against summoning, traps for a survival test... It is also used by the teachers as a meeting place, or can be used to defend the School. Only Ambaron and a few others know the true orgins of the Portal. The sole ban on it, is that Dimension magic will not be used, even if attempted, the Portal's orgins suppress it naturally.

While any of the Masters may come to learn, each must be taught by one with experience or Mastery over an element. Certain ones of the more unique elements may not be taught due to a Master not being had. Custom elementals that a Master has created MAY or may not be taught, and may be taught to only a select few/person. That is up to the one who created it.
