SBSA's Saddle Riders : OOC

IMPORTANT: THE NAME OF THE RP THREAD IS NOW "BLAZING SADDLES" INSTEAD OF "SADDLE RIDERS"

This is the OOC thread for members of the Strong Bad Salvation Army club to discuss the RP and possible turn of events. We're going for a western theme here. That means, cowboys, guns, whiskey, horses, Indians, rattlesnakes, and Clint Eastwood. You get the idea. Have fun with it and don't relent to bring in humour, even if this is meant to be pseudo-serious. I mean we aren't a bunch tight asses are we now?

So if there's anything you want to share with the other members (concerning the RP that is), this would be the place to do so.

Character Profile:

Name: Jack Weston

Age: 34

Hair: black short and clean cut hair

Profession: None/a traveller

Appearance: Typical brown cowboy hat wich is quite dusty. He wears normal black jeans along with brown leather boots and spurs. His shirt has a red and white plaid pattern on it. He usually has his sleeves rolled up. His brown leather gun belt only has a holster for one gun and straps onto his thigh as well as his hip. He wears a gold necklace under his shirt which is a sign of his love for the precious resource. Jack always has a flask full of whiskey in his back pocket.

Jack sports a three day beard and usually looks pretty grungy. He's usually covered in dust and sand unless he's taken his weekly bath in the local river. He usually smells like some kind of liquor, usually scotch or whiskey.

Weapon: Jack is equipped with an incredibly well kept long barrel 45. Colt, which is more than one can say about his outer appearance. The gun appears to be of a silver-like similar material but is of a more robust base metal. The handle is made of fine oak wood with a redish hew.

Bio: His story will unfold as the RP develops.

Awesome! Thanks for finally making the thread, SKI. I've been meaning to do it but have been busy with finals. Atma and the others will be pleased!

I've got a question. Are those two places mentioned in your post real? And if so whereabouts are they? Forgive me if they are widely known or something, I'm canadian.

SKI I don't mean to bug you but your sig is on, on the above post. Seems your having trouble with that.

Name: Kasey Montoya aka "Mayor Mariachi" aka Senoir Samba
Dress code: Standard Maraichi dress. A nice Sombrero and a Sarape Adorno(Wandering guitarists shawl). His over shirt and pants match of course. Oranges and browns are the colours he wears mostly. His acoustic guitar is crafted to perfection and his superior playing skills woo the hearts of all women.
Gun(s) carried: A normal 12 gauge shot gun in his guitar case beside his guitar.

All you need to know is that he's a wandering guitarist. I'll make the post later tonight but I'm drained for some reason

This is rediculous. Even in the post where I state my dismay for the no sig rule, I forget to turn it off. But this time I'll get it the first time.......or will I? Maybe I'll have forgotten again by the end of this post. I'm scared!

And about the locations, they came straight from my ass. No real locations, just straight bullshit. But they sound real enough don't they? That's how cool I am.

Yo ho! I finally posted.

I've introduced 2 characters, my own and Anarchy's. What do ya think of the introduction post?

My character is:

Name: Peppa
Attire: Dressed in all black (That's gotta be hot), Boots, trousers, shirt, Pancho, hat. Has a white bandana covering his face.
Weapons: Pistol sidearm... and a rifle. Yup.

Bio: Sorta posted in the RP post. Met up with Sal T. and they became Bounty Hunters. (I'll explain more later).

On a completely non-club-RP-related note, I wanted to mention that I will probably write a skin that eliminates the signature field altogether for application in all of the Spotlight Theatre forums, thus ridding us of the need for a signature rule. I did it on my own forums as SB can attest to, so I know I can do it here as well. Oh, and I just wanted to say that this one looks interesting, despite the cheesy name. ^_^ I look forward to reading it.

So I posted. It isn't much, but the last RP/RPB stuff I did was about a year ago. I'm trying to get a feel for it again. Anyway, it occured to me that I should, you know... post a character bio... now that I've... posted an intro.

Name: Claret Bell

*She was named after the Claret Cup Cactus. It has scarlet red flowers that have many petals, and the flowers are shaped like cups. It is the first cactus to bloom in the spring, and the flowers stay open at night, unlike other cactuses. Just... so you know.

Age: 22

Appearance: Sort of covered that in the intro. To be brief: red hair, green eyes, fair skin. 5'3", 120 lbs.

Bio: Her dad taught her to shoot. She's a good shot with a pistol, but she's even better with a rifle. She's strong, and frequently helps her cousin Bobby chop and carry wood, do farm work, etc. She works as a bartender in the evenings for her Aunt Sage. Some of the customers call her "Red." She's feisty and quick, and has never been married.

And I guess that's all you need for now.

That would b quite useful for the hopelessly forgetful/mindless such as myself. And I've seen it on the Argentos forum. Quite an ingenious feature actually....

EDIT: I just noticed it already is. In fact, I was just about to make another post while forgetting to turn the damn sig off. Man I'm just pathetic.
