Thats a load of crap. I am 23, older than most in this thread.

Does age reflect wisdom? No. I am a pretty intelligient person, but I can also acknowledge that there are even some 16 year olds out there that are smarter than I am. I also know many other people that are significantly older than me, who are dumb as bricks.... It doesn't really matter. Age has got nothing to do with it.

For example, when I was 16 or 17, I used to listen to all that hard metal shyt too. I still do from time to time. But as I got older, my tastes changed and I turned to a more mellow form of punk rock and ska music. Does that make me wiser? No. I like what I like because thats what speaks to me. If metal appeals to you, good for you. If country or hip hop appeals to you, good for you. You people need to get the fawk off your horse and accept the fact that people have different interests and opinions when it comes to music. Noone is wiser, or more ignorant because they favor one form more than another. If you like Linkin Park, great. If you don't, great. Don't put down others because they disagree with you. Devil, you yourself told me that. Remember, don't view others badly because they live a different life, or do different things taht others may or may not agree with. Don't be a hypocrite. You are better, and much smarter than that...

People like what they like. Fawkin deal with it. Either that, or find a gun and shoot yourself.... Thats to whoever.

In my opinion Linkin Park is another band that wanted to be the next Metallica, they weren't too bad but they tried too hard to be something spectacular rather than just make music. I use to love Metallica but I have moved on since then, and you will find there is much better bands out there. Also I hate rap music, and a lot of fairly average people do. I don't see why it so out there. I love folk music too but I don't expect to see everybody listen to it.

I think what people want is some "catchy" and I hate to admit it but thats what this type of music does. A few of my bands are quite "catchy" but hardly anybody has heard of them, and when they do they absolutly love it. Linkin Park was a trend-core band and I am glad to see from reading the previous posts that the phase has passed. Everybody has a time when they listen to something then much later they're like "What the hell was I thinking liking this crap?", I've been there myself.

And? There are people in the world who listen to some new music. I still know the roots. What are you gonna do about it?

P.S. - My post inclined also that these people listen to nothing BUT new music, which in this day and age is not good really.

They're good. I got Hybrid Theory, Reanimation, and Meteora.

I'd say about 70% of the lyrics are kinda "emo", but the music is very good.

I guess you don't really see the irony of your posts. Thats okay, you're young (mentally), it's okay. Hanging around Wintermetal can do that.

But, I will answer your question; I won't be doing anything. I wasn't trying to incite any change - but I did, in a way, hope for it. Especially with the travesty that is Slipknot and their fans.

I loved LP at one point. I still really like Hybrid Theory, but I don't think Meteora was as good. It had a few brilliant tracks, like Faint, but mostly it was mediocre. Reanimation is fun, it's music I really enjoy listening to, but it's a cd I have to be in the mood for.

I don't understand why so many people put them down. They mixed a lot of genres, and I did like them, not so much now... But they -did- have SOME catchy songs. Maybe everybody is just too frightened to be a stereotype, or maybe you generally don't like 'em. Hmm...

I was listening to LP like 3 years ago. What happened to them? They aren't all that bad. I am one of the many people who will tell you, Reanimated butchered them.
