Problem with Ultros, FFIII, rafting ride

first of all what level you have your guys on? depending on the situation i suggest putting bannon at the fourth slot of your party members and make sure you have plenty of potions, fenix downs, magic points, and health points. when you start the fight with ultros, use your strongest attacks. If edgars autocrossbow is doing nothing for you try drill, then use sabins aura bolt (if you have flame dance use that), then use terra's fire magic, and have bannon heal the party. If heal is not enough, use terra's cure magic or the recovery items. with all this you should be able to beat ultros.



Before you leave that save point and go bck on the raft look at your character skill screen and see what skills you can use.

I had a save from the hideout, so i hadn't to restart fully.

I now leveled up in that circle a while and then engaged Ultros with Terra (ultros didn't kill her with his tentacle now) and Banon in the back row.
It went very well.

okay for some reason, when i play, i level up sabin a whole lot and he will learn the "fire dance" blitz, and it does a lot of damange. and just to back people up, put everyone in the back row. Sabin- Aura Bolt, Fire Dance. Terra- Fire, Cure. Edgar- AutoCrossBow, Mithril Pike. Banon- Health every time. NOTE: even if you decide to not put people in the back row, put Banon in the back row so he does not die.
