This is in the same boat as Ravel's first post in the thread. And honestly, if you have more than one favorite band, why don't you just post that band's name in the first post you made? Although sometimes you hear a new band and like them a lot, like Jet, or someone else brings up another band that you like and you decide to comment it, what you are doing is just posting one or two bands, and then making another post with another band's name right afterwards. (I highly doubt you come up with a new favorite band day to day.) That's actually postwhoring too, and not just one-lining. So I'm going to give you an official warning for that. Same for anyone else who does it, too, from here on out.

I don't remember if I posted it, but my favorite band of all time is probably They Might Be Giants. Gotta love the randomness. Then it's Five Iron Frenzy/Brave Saint Saturn (I consider them like 1 & 1/2 band, or something, even though their sound is fairly different) Smashing Pumpkins (mostly for Meloncholly and the Infinite Sadness) Erasure (I love just about every album I hear of theirs) and Less Than Jake (gotta love the ska-punk, although their last album wasn't as good.) Those are all bands I go through a period of having to listen to their stuff.

ever since i was real little i have always loved pink floyd and they will always be my favorate band, but right now i really like this band called bullets and octane, i dont think anyone has quite heard of them yet cuz they arent that big yet, they only have 2 albums out

Lately i've been exploring the indie side of things..

I know many people are into them.. but Neutral Milk Hotel.. at least In The Aeroplane Over the Sea. They've got an interesting sound.. It's really kinda hard to explain.. They've been compared to so many different bands..

From the amazon page: "Led by Jeff Magnum, In the Aeroplane over the Sea finds the Neutral Milk Hotel assemblage loosely performing a series of narratives backed by folksy acoustic guitar. But from that springboard, a quiver of instruments (horns, organs, accordions, saws, banjo, zanzithophone, etc.) are layered into a sometimes rootsy, sometimes lo-fi, and often psychedelic mix. Contrary to most pop experimentalists, NMH songs stretch way past the two-minute mark: "Two Headed Boy" transforms from a Guided by Voices-ish romp into a New Orleans big band funeral march, "The Fool" is as catchy as anything Poi Dog Pondering ever produced, and "Holland" builds up to a crescendo of saw, Uillean pipes, a chorus of voices, and fuzzed-out guitar. Also.. a crazy "band" i've listened to lately.. Beirut. It's a one man deal, but it sounds so full it's crazy! "stunning spring-to-summer gypsy-cum-klezmer pop...beautiful and disarming " as pitchfork defines them.

Both bands are definately worth a listen.

yea thats how i am too, like right now i really like mcr and bullets and octane, and i bet next week itl probibly be something like lynyrd skynyrd or sumthing, idk, lol people tell me im wierd

It's always a plus to have a wide spectrum of musical taste.
Then thiers rarely a song heard that you dont enjoy.

Probably. Green Day from the above list other than that no one and that is no one I dont listen to music that much any more Union Underground pritty much ruined it for me so I listen to Eric Clapton, and I ocashinaly find something varry hard core and just feel at peace.

The Who and Ledzeppelin.

Even newer music I like, I can't just listen to it, I have to read a book, play a game, be on the computer.
But with the Who or the Zep, I can stick an album on, lie down on my bed and properly listen to it, all the way through.
No other music can I just spend over an hour just fully listening to it.
