...well, which is it? Saturday Night Live has had quite a few of their skits made into movies -- Coneheads, Night at the Roxbury, and a few others I can't think of right now, but they're out there. They've also had famous skits such as the Motivational Speaker, Celebrity Jeapordy, The Ambigiously Gay Duo, Nick Burns, or the more modern Narnia rap. What's your favorite?

| | My fav SNL skit is probably the one with Chris Farley where he is that Athletic Coach at the parents house and he is wearing the black glasses and the plaid overcoat and he's talking to the kids and shit. He eventually falls on the coffee table and breaks it, he is so funny in the skit that David Spade is laughing through it. It's pure gold.

| | It's gotta be Wayne's World! I love seeing the old re-runs of Saturday Night Live and seeing Wayne and Garth. The movie was also excellent, one of my favourites. Oh yeah and the Roxbury guys are pretty funny too (Chris Kattan and Will Ferrell). The movie of it was on a week or so ago and I only watched it for the first time, it was pretty funny. Pretty much any sketch with Will Ferrell is funny in my opinion, he's great. There are many hilarious sketched on SNL, it would take me ages to think of them all haha. | ||||||||

| Does what you can't. | That's definitely one of their best. But he was Matt Foley, motivational speaker. The one that kept mentioning living in a van down by the river? EDIT: Wayne's World, that's one I forgot. Started out as a Saturday Night Live sketch, ended up being, what, two, three movies?

I hated the "Da Bears" ones, they were so lame. I also enjoyed Kevin Nealon on the Weekly News, I thought he was the best. I remember one time I was distracted by something and my sister was laughing her ass off, and I was like what are you laughing at because he hadn't started the news yet. N' he was doing that rotation thing that he always did before he started the news, ya know...where he spins on the screen. Well apparently my sis said he had a bloody nose, I was like lol. Also something else that was incredibly good was Deep Thoughts by Jack Handy.

And if you like Deep Thoughts with Jack Handey, check this out. Deep Thoughts, Ambigiously Gay Duo, and Celebrity Jeapordy were probably their best continuous skits. Matt Foley, Motivational Speaker was awesome too, except that it was kind of a one-time deal. And to tell the truth, though the Coneheads movie wasn't bad, I didn't like the skit for it, or the movie(s) or skits for Wayne's World / Roxbury. Though their Narnia Rap was pretty good. "Mr. Pibb and Red Vines equals CRAZY DELICIOUS!"

The second Mary Katherine Galligher(sp) skit in which she attends her cousin Bridget's wedding. That's from the Anthony Edwards/ Foo Fighters episode that aired on 12/2/1995 in case you're wondering.

My favorite series of skits is probobly Celebrity Jeopardy. It is amazing how many times I can watch the different skits from those and laugh my ass off every time. Connery is amazing. Priceless comedy.

Anyhoo, I love the Celebrity Jeopardy skits, too. I used to have the vast majority of them on my old computer, but then I deleted them all, for some reason... But yeah, Sean Connery is awesome. "I don't remember how it ends, but your mother's a whore." (The first part of that I forget, but he was telling Alex Trebek a "riddle.") "I'll take the rapists for 200." That's therapists... nevermind." "What's this...? Oh, I see, it's a horse having sex with me." "C'mon, y'pansy, show 'em the rest of my work!" "No, we're not gonna do that." "BUCK FUTTAH!!" There was also this one where he told a vulgar joke, and first the audience laughed. Then, after they were done, he let out this obnoxiously loud laugh, so they laughed again. I also loved the one with Robin Williams. "Let's see what Mr. Williams wrote. ...Nothing. Because he put his pen through his own hand." Really, I think it would be awesome if they made a collection of all the Jeopardy skits and put it out on DVD. I would totally buy that mother. I remember there was also this one skit with Alice in Wonderland characters. I don't remember what happened, but I do remember that whoever played the Mad Hatter had some really bizarre lines, and then just ran away or something. I think it was the court scene. Anyhoo, I wish I could see that one again. Chris Farley was awesome as Matt Foley. I also liked his "most famous" line ever: ("So when did you run into Will Smith? When did you run into-") "OVER THE WEEKEND, YOU STUPID BITCH!!" Anyhoo, I'm done. Wuv, Yer Mom

| | "By the time I'm done with you, you'll all be wearing gold plated diapers!" I'd have to say that my favorite skit was the single "Barry Gibb Talk Show" skit. I still laugh endlessly when I see it. It's on Jimmy Fallon's best of DVD. A close second would be Will Farell as the devil, writing songs for Garth Brooks. "Fast car...on the highway...on the biway...Mr. Robotron...DAMN IT! This guitar keeps going out of tune!"

Well with that, it's quite obvious which was my favorite skit (or rather series of skits). The Jeopardy skits were hilarious everytime I saw them (or heard them). In fact, now I'm in the mood to dig those things up off of my harddrive and listen to them again.

| | Cthulu, you are so correct. Will Ferrell as the Devil. "... It's a fender." I nearly pissed myself during that. But my favorite was The Old "Buckwheat Sings" commercial. When they just showed question marks at the bottom of the screen, I lost it. | ||||||||
