Excalibur II

Ok I'm just curious if anyone has got it, and if so which FAQ from gamefaqs or another site did you use or do you suggest for completing this challenge.

I read a few on gamefaqs, but I want to know some results or basically I want to hear someone say, "that worked for me" so I know which one I can use.

I am really good at FF, not bragging but I've played it for awhile now I'd say, and with that in mind I'm sure I can accomplish this, just want a little info on it first.

Do you mean Excalibur 1 or 2 ???
If its 1 : you can find the items at the auction house that you have to buy and sell to an NPC in almost every walkthrough

If its 2: You have to reach a certain spot in Memoria within 12 hours. A good way is to rush through the game and for the long movies: Press eject, w8 for your disc to stop turning and press eject again (wihtout resetting yr PS offcourse) The game will load the place that begins right after the movie so it will just skip the movie...

I'm not looking for tips specifically, as that tip and many others are listed in walkthroughs. What I'd like to know is does anyone know of a gamefaqs or non-gamefaqs walkthrough that has worked for them?

I'm simply looking for a credible guide to work from.

It's a walkthrough for a perfect game including the Excalibur II.

You need to get the Magic fingertip at the auction in Treno, it only happens on disc 4. After you get it return it to Dugerreno ( The tall mountain with the waterfalls and grand dragons) and give it to an old man near where you buy the items, he'll ask for the Magic fingertip, so give it to him to receive Excalibar I.

In disk 4 before you go to memoria or before, because i try to buy it from auction but i can fin that Magic Fingertip

Best bet there.
From what I remember. Memoria in under 12 hours, and your bound to get it. It may be under 15 hours though, so don't quote me on it. Gamefaqs is by far your best bet.

i think better you don't take the Excalibur 2 because you will lose the other secret in disc 1-3 before you reach memoria

Care to explain? Unless you mean by rushing you will miss the secret's, as to my knowledge you can acquirre all you can on those disks, minus the coffee on disk four so there's no worry? Unless im missing something which if i am, would you care to explain what?

There isn't enough time to do everytjing in the game, and I'd only challenge the exacliburII quest if I got really bored. It seems kinda pointless to me, mainly 'cos I don't use Steiner alot and it's more fun doing the long game.
