Mosh pits

Well I'm gonna see avenged sevenfold now I'm in school sitting my bass player sean well this is gonna sound pothetic but how do we mosh.Any advice o btw Sean is gonna become TFFs new member.So I brought sean in yea for my bass player.

Just let the music rush through you and GO MENTAL!

That is what moshing is, a surge of music and emotion through you, theres no direct guidelines on moshing. Just try not to get too carried away and get injured or injure anyone else! Just let the music do the moving and you will mosh, or if your unsure, go with everyone else and do what theyre doing.

I nearly knocked a mate out in a mosh pit once... He was a little ****ed off

Feel the agression... dig deep into the darkest pits of your soul, and the music will tell your body how to move.

Basically, yes, just go mental. Jump in, jump around, slam into some people,and just have fun.

Do whatever the hell you want. Again, just have fun. There really isn't an art to it. Most of the time its just jackasses fallin into you and spilling your beer.

Yeah, dont do that though. That sucks.

Don't try to start a fight or anything, but just jump around and push. And don't take anything personally.

I was never really too into moshing -- it's fun, yeah, but pretty stupid, all the same.

But fighting makes you the coolest person out there. Especially if you randomly start fighting with the bass player of the band, and drag him off stage, like this one kid did at a local show a few years back.

...la la la... I like moshing... except only when I'm not at a show, and I'm just standing around with my friends. I'll start jumping and ramming into them, and they'll be like "...okay..?" Heh.

Here's some advice; if you see a large, sweaty man in the crowd, try to get away from him before he starts to come your way. Otherwise, you will probably end up rubbed up against him, and it will be gross.

Anyhoo, yes, with the jumping around and pushing into people and whatnot. Or just try to remain standing. That's what I usually do, actually. Heh.

Yeh its pretty much just to go wild. Really listen to the music and just do what it makes u wanna do. Try not to hurt people, but have fun!

When i'm sober, the last thing i wanna do is get into a mosh pit at a gig. I'm such a cautious person and i always worry i'm gonna get injured, coz lets face it, i'm pretty weak. But i went to someones party at a hall, and everyone (including me) got absolutely wasted. About 6 or 7 of the guys just started jumping around and ramming into each other (there were mats on the floor so it didnt hurt), so it was kinda like moshing. As soon as i was drunk, i joined in and managed to knock one of the strongest people over!

Get aggressively moving to the music...in other words, if you don't cause bleeding nose and brusies, you PHAILED.

Short introduction to moshing

Basic moshing techniques:
- get drunk
- play air guitar, headbang, jump, show the horns and yell
- hustle and push people

Advanced moshing techniques:
- get piss drunk
- go tilt and shout your lungs out
- flatten and throw people

After-moshing techniques:
- have sex with a piss drunken guy/gal
- puke

i got my head split open at the last nine inch nails show - literally. i have a few moppy rags covered in blood to prove the injured rite of moshdom. bottom line - get yourself hurt and have a blast doing it! the pain just intensifies the power of ROCK.

Don't mosh, it is stupid as ****. If you want to get into the music, headbang or something else. Moshing is stupid, this coming from a metal fan, go figure.
