My parents were watching anime before I was born.

My first was either Bubblegum Crisis or Robotech (which is an American production with Japanese art, so I'm not sure that counts). Then came Vampire Hunter D, Robot Carnival, Lensmen, Venus Wars, etc. Around first grade, I discovered main stream, such as Sailor Moon. Good times.

It was anime with me. ... Eh ... *thinks* ... *thinks harder*
It was KumKum, adventures of a young cave boy. It was a cheap video my nana bought me when I was 6 or so to watch when I went to her house. Strange I was watching anime from a young age.

I'd have to say Anime. I started off going with a friend , who was already into it, to see "Akira" at a theatre way back in 1988. I remember just being amamzed at what was going on..it really made an impression on me. From there I saw "Fist of the North Star" in the theatres, and started going to the Anime Apprecieation Socierty meetings at Arizona State University. There i saw Bubblegum Crisis and from that I was hooked--there was no turning back..and here i am now

I love a lot of those older OAV's, like Project A-ko, Black Magic M-66, Gunhed, Space Cruiser Yamato, and A Wind Named Amnesia. try watching some of them and see how far anime has come.

My first dose of anime was probably Card Captor Sakura, Then later Sailor Moon, And then Poke-Mon... I find it kindof funny that I even started buying things from the shows! I bought a Sailor Moon Rod, the Clow Cards, and Tons of Poke-mon Cards! As I grew older I heard my Older brothers friend talking about her "doggy" Inu-Yasha and began to watch that. I'm still a huge fan and watch it all the time! I even own all the games and movies!^_^ Then I started watching Naruto. My first Manga would probably be Chobits and I later bought the DVDs. I'm not quite sure when I found out that all this was from Japan but now I'm even taking Japanese language classes!!

The First Anime I remember being exposed to was Vampire Hunter D but I didn't remember it until a year ago, after all I saw it when I was only 5 and a year later I watched the Tekkaman Blade series. Still I didn't reall get into anime until a few years ago when I got into Big O and Outlaw Star and it just took off from there.

Gundam Wing is what really got me focused on anime. Before that, I was like "Meh, it's just foreign cartoons." Later, Cowboy Bebop brought me to the realization that American cartoons just plain suck.

I was introduced to anime first. It was only years later that I really got into rpgs and manga. The first anime I watched was either Dragon Ball Z or Sailor Moon. Then I started to watch Outlaw Star and Gundam Wing. I acidentally found Adult Swim one night and then I found out all of those shows were called anime. I've been an otaku ever since.

The first thing I saw Anime-wise was an episode of Pokemon early in the morning on "The WB", which is now called "UPN 23". It was the episode in which Ash was going for his fourth Pokemon League Badge and dressed as a girl, which was where I came in. I had no idea what it was, or where it was from, but I tried long and hard to find it again, which I did a few months later when it came on at 3:30 in the afternoon on the same channel during their cartoon block.

I also believe that I may have caught Dragonball for a few moments, but I cannot recall the channel. I did not have cable at the time, which I find funny considering I believed that Dragonball only showed on CN. The episode of DB that I had caught was where Goku had met Yamcha for the first time in the desert, and he was saved by Yamcha being bashful around girls, namely Bulma.

That is where I got my start in Anime, and I have been an addict ever since.
