That solves that problem
If you dont have that much cash handy right now they are a few alternitives.
1)Save up. 2)find an alternate source for the program, that may be aquriing it from a friend, via the internet ir from another place for cheaper. 3) find a different program, I.E GIMP.

The GIMP is free.

Since it's a free, open source program, I'm not breaking the rules by giving you links to it. Therefore, here's your link! OMG LINKZ0RZ

The GIMP has a couple things that Photoshop does not; at the same time, it's lacking a few things which Photoshop has. For almost all graphical needs though, The GIMP should cover all bases and get the job done for you. Enjoy!

Well, for a cheap Image editor, I'd go for either; GIMP or Corel.
GIMP is a scalled down version of Photoshop, giving you a basic feel of how more advanced programs work.
Corels Pain Shop Pro is another simple photoeditor.

then of course, theres always MsPaint.

Go to a software/computer show if one comes to your area. I went to a computer show in Atlanta about 3 years ago, and some vendors and personal tables were set up and selling used copies of their older software which they had since updated. That's where I got my copy of Photoshop 7.0 (I already had it, but bought it for the books and manuals, and to have it on hard copy).

If you're just not starting to delve into Photoshop, I wouldn't recommend the latest version of CS2, or even CS. I'd say starting with 7.0 or 8.0. I still use 7.0 and 8.0 till this day for design projects I take on for customers, and for my own website graphics. It's just easier to manuever in I think, although the latest versions have some awesome features I wish the older ones had.

Here's a link to amazon.com where you can find version 7.0 for under $200.00

for a beginer... even the really early versions of photoshop would be good enough for you!
dont start off with one of the newer versoins, you'll only confuse yourself, start with one of the early ones.. possibly even before 7.. and learn some stuff from that! they're more than capable of making the kind of things you want!

and.. once you start to learn them, move onto the newer versions, and learn all the new features, it'll be a lot better for you!

also... hehe! i laughed at your title! ;p

Ty.

I have now downloaded The GIMP, installed it and now running the program. Can anyone give me a tutorial on it or give me a link to one? Thank you.
