What chance to survive do you have when you’re trapped?

When your odds are low and there is no place to hide

And when every last bit of your soul is sapped

As you are at your lowest, take note of the wild rose

Watch its determination and how strong it grows

It alone gives hope and inspires, but no-one knows

What it was that made the rose grow and the path it chose

Take note of the strength of the wild rose

Take note of the purity and passion that it shows

Notice the fact it has no fear, says its pose

By growing alone it eliminates all of its foes

Watch the rays of light that shine off its petals

Let those pull you out of the darkness and walk

Observe just how it grew to its incredible size

Let that make you wise and give you courage to talk

Never did it show that it wanted to be beaten

It just bloomed against all expectations

Never did it even once think about defeat and

It did not want to be part of ones captivations

The wild rose proved that life can be anywhere

And that it can grow, even when things aren’t fair

So don’t feel sad or remorse the path you chose
