| | The battle system reminded me a little of Grandia, since the characters moved around and where they returned to so not necessarially the same place that started moving from. I enjoyed the FFX-2 battle system, probably more than any of the other FF games other than FFX and FFXII. It had what I enjoy, the heat of battle was not paused. If you choked on a move you died, I like that about a game. I like it when a game beats, not beats the turns worked out in such a way I got screwed, but because I was not quick enough in my decisions. It works the other way as well, but when a normal monster fight can wipe the floor with you, then you know that it is a game that cannot sleep on. But it is easy enough to say that after enough lvls and abilities you are not really changed, and that is true for any RPG. Aside from FFT, which is the only game I have played that the monsters managed to remain strong even as you leveled, most RPGs get easier as you level. But FFX-2 managed to keep the action moving, and you could literally save your character from dying if Yuna did say Rapid Fire or whatever it is called on the monster coming at say Rikku with 1 HP and Paine was casting cure. Yuna could shoot it pausing it, holding back long enough that Paine could get that cure in and save Rikku life. When you can do that in a game, that is when it is fun. That is what makes FFX-2 great, plus the ability to job change on the fly makes for unique strategies.

n/a | I am not as fond of this battle system because I need time to think, I never even tested one of the special dress spheres until I got to the part where she sings 1000 words, because there is not enough time to think, I know that is more realistic but I would preffer the time to plan method.

| Hero of Hedgehogs | I liked it more than the actual game, as I've always been a fan of ATB, so I was suitably annoyed when they removed it X but I'll stop moaning lol

412 | I liked the system somewhat. The main thing that I think could be improved on it was that your could tell your characters where to move and if they made it more useful to do so in battles like the one against Baralai. However, it was also very easy to manipulate the system, such as when going for special dress spheres.

n/a | Basicly the battle system in X-2 is the same as the one in FFIX... The ATB system which stands for active time battle! Yeah I like it, but again the system in X (CTB - I think) is far better than the one in X-2... I can't really tell why I think so. But I enjoy playing X more than X-2!

| Blue of Blue | I liked the battle system of X-2. I didn't really like X-2 as a game in whole, but i found the way you fought was fun. I also like the way you could switch dress spheres in the middle of battle, it made the game fun, because of the customization of your team. Overall I didn't like the game to much, but in that part alone as just the battle segment I think it was very solid. | ||||||||

| | I liked the battle system of X-2. It kept me on my toes. Kept me a little more interested and less bored. I didn't really feel like I was fighting the same monsters over and over, even though I was. There were just so many different tactics I could use, and still have fun with it. Not to mention the ability to change dress-spheres on the fly was awesome too.
