Bird Flu: Are you worried?

I'm not worried... It's not that big of a deal until it begins infecting us. Sure, get vaccines prepared......... And lets hope we don't need to use 'em.

Apparently, for the first time, the Bird Flu has transferred to something other than a bird. Three cats. Still not able to easily transmit between humans, but spreading. Now it's been found in not only Asia, but Poland, Austria, the Middle East, and Africa. Some are still saying it's going to become a pandemic, but they've been saying that for two years and it hasn't yet.

*twitch* I'm sure the virus is already here, there just aren't any reported cases of it yet. Germany right nextdoor, it's just a matter of time.

My mothership wanted to shotgun my chickens and was convinced the flu had come after they'd had a fight and there was some blood here and there...c-r-razy.
Psychos are already talking about the mass killing of wild birds and cats and...I'm keeping mine inside more from fear of that.

Well, if the virus is airbourne, chances are it'll spread like wildfire. Our country isn't that big at all.

I'm still not worried, but if it's here, it's bad. There is no such thing as good unless we can ensure EVERYBODY in the country has access to a vaccine... that's not disclosed information, particularly from the NHS whom are already broke. So if the vaccine is not free, it's going to be ****ing damn expensive.

Well, it's still an iffy if it will jump to humans en masse. And it doesn't kill everyone who gets it. From what I've read it's been the old and young, who should also be the first to recieve any available vaccinations, and freaking free, too.

It's so lame every time these kind of disasters (could) happen no one is prepared...and we're such smart creatures.

I don't know, if it's going to call for it if health insurance will cover or how that will vary between countries... >_<
One of my halfbros was intent on buying some kind of vaccination pills off the internet, I wonder if they're real...

Well, at least I had my normal garden variety flu shot last year.
