The Earth Is Going To End.

For those Non-Christans, (or even Christans i guess)

there is some Mayan prediction that was made about i don't know Millions of years ago or something that the earth will end in 2012...

They said the month will be around september-January.

Most likely december 22nd..

A couple of predictions say the earth Will flood again, and alot of the Continents will be Wiped out completely....those include:

1.Asia
2.Europe
3.Australia
4.Most of North America
5.South America

Not sure about Africa, or antartica....

But anyways.....I'm safe here...because they said San diego was going to be the safest place to be During this whole F***ing ordeal...

So....If it's my shi*ty luck, that this post has already been posted...i guess close it....if it hasnent....does anyone belive in these predictions? or think they are a load of sh*t?

From what I had heard, the Mayan thing was mainly only that their calendar didn't go past 2012. (By the way, the Mayans were a couple hundred years ago.)

But since God told Noah that he wouldn't destroy the world with a flood again, I believe Him. Because, after all, He would know, right?

I don't see how San Diego would be safer than anywhere else, really. There are plenty of places safer or higher in elevation.

I disagree with the prediction that the world
will be wiped out by another great flood.

In the Bible(Book of Genesis), after the great flood, God promised
Noah that he would never destroy the earth through flooding
again. And God never breaks His promises.The rainbow is a
reminder of this promise.

Well if it floods, San Diego is going to the next city to be under water besides the islands. California sits pretty close in the water and most of it will be submerge other than some of the mountains.

But you are correct the world is going to end, but it will be in 3 billion years when the Sun goes Supernova and destroys our planet along with Mercury and Venus, and Mars will probably be toasty like Mercury is now. Jupiter will probably have new planets made of its moons with the sudden heat and Jupiter might even convert itself into a Sun eventually with enough extra mass from the destroyed planets.

I really do not know about the whole predictions of the Mayans or anything. About the only thing I really believe will happen is the Tribulations, Revelations and the seven years of darkness after all the believers are taken away. It is said that this will happen when there is peace in Israel, which tends not to be a very likely thing to happen seeing as there is always conflict. But in every war Israel has only gained land and eventually returned some of it back.

I really do not know if there will ever be peace there, but if there is it will be the end of the world. At least that is according to the Book of Revelations.

I could be wrong, though. I thought that the Mayans were displaced by the Spanish when they came over in the sixteenth century or so, but I could be thinking Aztecs. With Montezuma and Quetzalcoatl and such. Ah, what the hell.

Either way. I'm not one to buy into "predictions" ... even stuff like Nostradamus. Most of it is very loosely interpreted and could be manipulated to fit any event. And with Nostradamus and such, even if one prediction is wrong, that means he's not a Prophet of any sort, which means he's just a normal dead guy with a few lucky guesses.

i don't know about any floods. but i have read about the rainbow being a sign from god that he will promise to never flood the earth again.

however, when i was in 9th grade, which was sometime ago.. the only thing i remember from that pathetic excuse for a teacher's class was when she put in the national geographic type video on the mayans, and i remember the movie stating that the mayan calendar did in fact END in december of 2012 sometime, but only because that's when they predicted the end of the world through their instruments that relied on astronomy. i also remember it stating that the mayan calendar, was more accurate than ours is today.

but being a christian, i believe in the bible, which states no living man knows when jesus will return and the book of revelations will be acted out. so i guess im gonna have to go with that

i don't remember the book of revelations stating the end of world will occur when there's peace in israel? maybe i should re-read it.

this is what i read from a site stating the futuristic view of a "confederacy" of various nations, some signifying europe, russia, or some asian nations attempting to wage war on israel. possibly also something to do with the woman riding the beast in the book of revelations. someone also once told me the woman riding the beast could possible signal Europe... something to do with greek mythology? i have no proof of this.

Well there are a few signs if I remember correctly that will mark the end of the world. There being peace in Israel is one of them if I remember right. Another is that there is a new Temple, there has to be a new temple built. Something about the false messiah will sit on the throne for seven years. There is a lot of signs I think, but most of this comes from my dad who probably read the bible more than a few times and does studies and things.

At the moment ignorance is bless, I would really not like to know how the world is going to end. I mean my life just started, there is so many things left undone and I have yet to experience, thinking about the end makes things rather depressing.

My dad believed that the end was going to come January 1, 2001, I am glad he was wrong. You had no idea how scared I was thinking that I could be left behind, or that I might be taken as well and not have anymore of a life to live.

yeah... that i have heard before. several signs will occur before the end times. unfortunately so many awful things happen, i suppose it's hard to decipher which ones are actually apart of this. the bible definately takes a little decoding to figure out, although i don't think it was meant to be that way.

i'll stick by what i've said before though, that i have personally read in the bible, and been told over and over, that no living man knows when the end time will come. kinda scary

Well when the world ends in either in these categories.

1) We also destroy each other through a nuclear holocaust, blowing up and radiating men, women, and children. Plus the added radiation will corrode the Earth destroying almost all life forms, or destroying the Earth totally. Illustrated by this humorous cartoon...

2) Global Warming goes to a high, and floods the East Coast, plus some parts of Western Europe adn Africa. Also the Antartic will melt, giving added water to Southern Africa, and South America along with parts of Asia, Indonesia will sink.

3) If neither of those happen, then maybe a full scale invasion of extra-terrestrial life forms, executing humans, and using their natural environmental plants, that destroy ours.

As for the flood, I doubt it, and if it did flood we Californias would drown and suffer, since we're on the edge of water, I think it'd be safer...in Iowa.

lol possible events, but not probable

. any type of event that would include a man-made armegeddon scenario, i think would have a lot of warning signals in advance. not so much to prevent it, but at least so much that the entirety of the human race would not be whiped out.

so, the TRUE end of the world, will only come when jesus comes for a 2nd time, and takes the christians back in to heaven. in my faith anyways. not sure what religion you all follow =)

Yeah, the earth will probably end one day. Who knows when exactly. My friend told me it was supposed to blow up sometime last year. She likes making weird predictions like that, she was wrong though. There are many different theories that people have for when the world ends. Who knows which one will be the right one. Global Warming is destroying the world enough as it is so that'll probably kill us in the end. Who knows what'll happen.

My guess of the way it's gonna end soonest is by war. War has always been th ething to bring civilizations down. I mean that flood thing with the Mayan's I've heard of and I laugh at it everytime, because they were taken down by Spaniards who pretended to be their friends...oops. Anyways yes the sun will blow up, it's gravity will someday pull us in. But that won't really happen probably to the humas by then, since we'll all be dead. War is just an inevitable thing that happens. It's stupid, but one day a nuclear war will probably happen and when it does nothing is safe. I wish I could sound more pleasent, but it's huma nature to destroy, not to build. We harm before we help. Man will go to war at one point or another, and ruin it for all. My guess is that we'll be around for another 1500 years max. I'd love to not see something bad happen, but the world and people won't change, people are to irration
