| Mistress of Succubi | Well, in Firefox, go to Tools > Options > General tab. There is a checkbox that says "Firefox should check to see if it is the default browser when starting" and besides that, there is a button that says "Check Now". Click that. Then it will say that it is not currently your default browser, and has buttons that say "Yes" or "No" to make it the default. Click yes, and there you have it. | ||||||||

202 | I choose Firefox because it is faster, and websites look better on it, and so is desinging websites...the only thing wrong with it is that it sometimes doesn't support what iE does, or at least at a slightly complex way of making it do so.

| Mistress of Succubi | Yeah, for now. People can always program extensions to run things like that. There's a Chatzilla extension for Firefox to chat on IRC, so.. I would assume making something for that isn't too far out. You just need to.. find someone willing to do it. | ||||||||

1,785 | Well I use both, IE tends to become sloooow sometimes and then I switch to FF to see if it goes faster, I have over 3000kbs download on my ADSL so both browsers is really fast in getting the pages up. (should be but IE tends to be perhaps in a state of hangover or whatever sometimes)

| | I have both...but I prefer IE. I hate Firefox. I really see nothing special about it. I have an assload of protection on my computer anyways, so I dont use the pop up features, nor do I really care for the tabbed browsing. It just doesn't float my boat.

| The Old Skool Warrior | Oh... see, MSN will ALWAYS open Internet Explorer, simply because of one thing: MICROSOFT Network Messenger (MSN) MICROSOFT Internet Explorer ...yep, there's no avoiding an IE window when clicking tabs in MSN Messenger.

Think anyone will code a hack/plugin that, when the tabs are clicked will use the default browser as opposed to iE?

| | I dislike the fact that MSN links always use Internet Explorer to open them. It takes about an hour to load on my computer and has a tendancy to freeze at times. I know there is no avoiding it since Microsoft owns both but I wish you could at least use Firefox. My internet explorer is sooo slow and just takes way too long to load which is an inconvenience. Firefox loads A LOT more quicker than IE. I can get things done a lot quicker with FireFox because of the tabbing system it has. You don't have to have a heap of different windows minimized in the toolbar. Anyways, enough about that! | ||||||||

| The Old Skool Warrior | Here's a hint for anyone wanting to check your MSN mail via Firefox: http://mail.msn.com Or, if you prefer... http://hotmail.com I know this seems like a pretty silly post, but it's just as easy to open a new tab in Firefox and type in "hotmail" as it is to click a button in MSN Messenger. So it takes an extra ten seconds to click... if your IE issues are as bad as you make them sound, doesn't it effectively save you time to open a new tab and do it that way? ^_^;;
