Post Best game to Movie

What in your opinion is the best adaption from a game to a movie in your opinion? I would have to go with the 1st Tomb Raider, allthough there was heaps of action in Resident Evil it seemed to lack a story. Most people will agree that FF: The Spirits Within was a big let down, and I haven't seen Advent Children yet.

I'd have to say Advent Children was a good movie that went well with the game. Especiallly Last Order (which can be found in the DVD extras).

One could argue that Tomb Raider would be the best adaptation, but it's pretty easy to make a Tomb Raider movie. It's practically a movie in itself.

On another note, I'd have to say that the Street Fighter movie with Van Damme was bloody awful. Just terrible. Cammy fighting against Bison? Guile with a Belgian accent? "Carlos Blanka"...

Ugh.

Resident Evil in my opinion. I loved everything about the first movie, except how it ended. It kind of pissed me off, I wanted to see more. I loved the story in Resident Evil, and I loved how they discovered the Hive and kind of explained things as they went. It was really cool and the cast I thought did an exceptional job. I was very pleased with that, and I don't know of any other game to movie that was as fluid a transition as that.

*However my favorite from game to movie is Resident Evil!I dont really care for the story,I wanna see zombies getting shot and blasted. And the Licker was a cool monster brought to life by CG!Cool!the zombies were a little fresh,I like my zombies rotting and pealing, bleeding and hungry!Grrrrr

*At first I thought the girl was Jill, its so unreal that she got to remember her skills triggered by encounters!Uncool!

I like the Super Mario Bros. movie. Iknow it was cheesy and John Leguizamo is Puerto Rican and not Italian. But I still thought it was a hilarious movie.

Well I'd have to say it's Mortal Kombat. It was totally ridiculous but I loved it so much when I was I think 5 when it came out. It has horrible acting and even cheesier dialogue, so in the end I'd have to say that Shang Sung and Johnny Cage win.

For a movie, it was decent. For a game to movie, it was TERRIBLE! Let's see here...what do you think a final fantasy movie should have?

1. Magic
2. Cool characters
3. GREAT plot not some FF7 ripoff, (they used the whole enviromentilist bullshit)
4. More fantasy-like world
5. Great music
6. Badass villains and hero's

Now, let's see how much this movie had of what a basic FF usually has...

1. NO MAGIC! That right there was it's downfall
2. Well, the characters weren't terrible but DAMN were they boring
3. The plot WAS interesting enough for me to actually sit there in torture to watch all of it, but overall it was pretty sad
4. Fantasy world my ass, interesting like said.
5. I did like some of the music but it was just so...boring
6. The hero's were TOO typical and annoying, but James Wood as the villain was a pretty good idea

FFSW was a disaster and MANY FF fans, not just myself, HATED IT. FF7AC was a awesome movie however, had funny moments, kickass action, decent story, and AMAZING graphics. However, if they could make a new movie not based on any of the other games but be just as cool I'm sure it would be just awesome itself.

I liked Resident Evil. It was a decent movie. Hard to follow a game as good as Resident Evil and not get looked down upon for leaving things out or changing the storyline.

Doom was a great movie. Lots of action and a gret casting of actors. The only things I didn't agree with was
SPOILER!!:

I didn't like how there was only a select few types of creatures. AND, how the ROCK gets mutated in the end.

But, once again, I can't take away from the appeal of the movie just because the director left things out or tweaked the storyline from the original game just a bit.
