Doc Battle ~ Mysterious Ways...

<~ OOC: I'm glad to announce the 5th DoC battle. The battle between DragonKnightKJ and Lordaeron. KJ chose to be a Red Mage and Lordaeron for the Warrior. Remember to introduce your characters in the first post and to be clear with your posts. Also, turn off your sigs, for easier reading.

Now that I've shared that, let's begin!! ~>

The word about the Deck of Cards was rapidly spreading. This had many positive effects, but it had its downsides. One of Fenii's messengers got mugged on his way to another town. The event occured in the nearby woods where he was stalked by a cloaked man. Unable to defend himself properly, the man got mugged, and was robbed of his Cards.

The cloaked man headed back to Terra, where he saw two youths argueing. He approached the two and said: "Why don't you two settle this over combat. Pick one of the cards and show eachother who is the actual superior..." The man grinned as one of the youths replied...

"Great idea sir....cause I was going to sucker punch him in a fewseconds any way!" KJ said angrily.The messenger revealed four cards,Heart,Club,Spade and Diamond,each eminating a powerful,yet gentle light.

"Hurry up young one,haven't got all day now" prodded the messenger.
"Alright,I'll choose......Diamond" stated KJ.At that very moment he touched the card,it's magic was unleashed.

A beautiful scarlet red cape was attached to KJ's tunic and his usually old sneakers had instantly become new,crimson boots trimmed with gold and a classic red hat with a silver feather.

KJ was accustomed to scuffling with his brother so he knew that this would be his first "real" fight.So as he mustered up all his courage,he unsheathed his blade,the Sol Katti.....

Hey Valar,dont u think,uh since before Christmas is enough time?Don't u have a battle to get to or something.Butting into ppl damn battles and shooting off I've waited really long,and u say "this is a forum,give em some time".U know this is a freakin forum but u dont know to look to the left of no.of replies t find no.of views?Look how freakin' much.Now see if u can balance that with the number of times that Aeron posted in this thread.

<~ OOC: Alright chill! You want a battle KJ? Well, guess who you can fight? Mr. Valar himself. Maybe that will stop this arguement.

Valar, your character will be a Warrior. Because Lordaerons character was a Warrior. The reason why I'm not letting you choose a character is because you want a challenge. Maybe you wanted to choose a Warrior, maybe not. Anyway, introduce your character in the next post. And let this battle begin!!! ~>

Gabriel closed his eyes, pulling a silver medallion to his lips. It hung loosely around his neck, held fast by his left hand.

The young man held the card to his chest, and immediatly the transformation began. Red tendrils of energy swirled and danced outward from the card, quickly encircling his body. Gabriel kept his eyes closed, as the garb of a Warrior began to enshroud his form.

Crimson trousers and tunic quickly replaced his ragged shirt and pants, followed immediately by a pair of sturdy armored boots. The swirling energy made it's way to Gabe's shoulder, where two thickly armored red shoulder guards, rimmed in silver, appeared.

With that the energy made one final revolution around the young Heart, before shooting into the air above him. Gabriel's ear length black hair danced with the ebbing flow of the Card's Magic, as the energy inserted itself back into the card that Gabriel held tightly in his right hand.

The Heart opened his eyes, a smile touching his lips as he bent the card in half, completing the rite. Instantly the once treated paper that was the card transformed into the hilt of a gorgeous broadsword, which formed from the handguard up.

In less than an second the weapon was fully formed in the newly christened Warrior's hand. The red symbol of a heart gleamed from the man's belt, as he slowly lowered the broadsword from in front of him.

He gave the medallion a chaste kiss, letting it fall to his chest with a light clink.

"Since you would have been content to "sucker-punch" me, I'll let you have the honor of starting this duel. You had better make it count." The Warrior stated, dark eyes narrowing.



OOC: Don't try and pick fights with me. Especially here. If you want to so bad, go sign up in the Flaming Forum. That's why we have it.

As far as "butting into your fights" as you so eloquently put it: One of the main duties of a Phoenix Knight is commenting on the DoC battles. Which I was doing.

I noticed you posted before Christmas, but it was still less than a week before Christmas. Some people can't spare the time to come here and post heavily. It's a time where many are swamped with the festivities. That is why I said to be patient. I was lending support to Inferno Mage.

Now that I've said that: Let's get it on!

KJ tried to regain his composure by closing his eyes in an attempt to rid his mind of his anger.Trying to get the feel of his first blade,he unsheathed the Sol Katti and as if he were totally renewed,in body and in mind,he darted toward his opponent,with his left hand eminating a vibrant glow,he attempted to make a horizontal slash toward Gabriel's upper body.....



<OOC:The only fight I want to fight in is the one between KJ and Gabriel,not with u Valar.It just felt as if no one wanted to fight with me and considering the fact that this is the very first time I ever RPB'ed,I am very eager to see what it's all about.I am sorry since I seemed to offend you.My sicerest apologies. >

<~ OOC: Aw...ain't that sweet? That was nice and polite of you, KJ.

Anyway, I liked the way you've performed you're attack. It was straight to the point. There is a lot of room for improvement. The thing is, I just think you'll learn over time. One little piece of advice, which really is a detail: Put spaces between your commas and full stops.

Example:

I like pie,blueberry pie.And you?
I like pie, blueberry pie. And you?

You see what I mean? Don't take this as something bad or anything. I just see a lot of potential in your writing, and can't wait to see you evolve.

Engaged in Combat

The young warrior frowned, thrown off for a moment by the other man's attack. His hand seemed to be emitting a soft light, something that made Gabe rather nervous.

He had enough time to react, however.

Gabriel dropped his stance slightly, using a sliding side-step to the right to help clear his opponent's blade. In the same motion the Heart rotated his body, turning his sword's position to the most efficient position he could find for a block. With a crash of tempered metal, the two blades glanced off of each other.

Gabriel continued sidling to the right, moving into hopefully better position for his counter-attack. He then lunged forward, tightening his grip on his sword's hilt as he attempted to drive the point into the other man's side.

It wouldn't be too hard to deflect the attack, but would be a painful wound should his opponent not.


OOC: No harm, no foul. I understand it gets frustrating. Since this is your first time at RPBing, I'm going to slow down myself. I'd like to experiment, and try new things that could improve the both of us. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

KJ was appauled at his opponent as he knew that warriors weren't always too taken up by strategy but more concerned with strength.Mainly focusing on maintaining the power of his spell, KJ was able to evade the warrior's blow with only a small tear on his magnificent, scarlet cape by quickly attempting to copy his opponent previous dodge technique.

With only a few seconds 'till impact, KJ had to think fast to counter this one.As the warrior sped forward with his weapon, KJ side-stepped , while muterring something under his breath, so that he and his opponent can be parallel to each other when their attack clashed.

History seemed to repeat itself.KJ's one-handed sword attack and the Warrior's broad-sword connected with yet another clash of tempered metal.

As the swords snarled at each other, KJ realised that he would be overpowered by the warrior so he decided that it was time.KJ positioned his glowing hand behind the warrior to increase his chance of hitting him."Fire!" he yelled and a fairly sized crimson ball of flames shot toward the back of the preoccupied Gabe......

Under Siege

The Heart knew immediately that he'd moved into a weak position, even as his foe cast a spell. As the mage muttered the incantation, Gabriel was already moving.

The fire leapt from his opponent's hand, tearing through the air with a crackle of superheated magical energy. From his current position, Gabe knew he wouldn't be able to dodge the attack, so he decided to at least lessen the damage.

The warrior dove forward, tucking his sword to the side as his shoulder hit the ground. In the same moment the flames engulfed where he had landed, exploding outward in a fiery display.

Gabriel did not stop moving, however. He turned the landing into an awkward shoulder roll, taking him quickly out of the wake of the devastating spell's effect. He came up to a crouch immediately, having avoided most of the spell's strength. All he had was singed clothing and hair, and a small burn on his left side.

The warrior did not hesitate before sprinting back at his foe, shifting his weapon to the left hand. He leapt slightly into the air, closing the gap between he and the mage before another spell could be cast. The warrior spun as he landed, swinging the broadsword in a deadly arc toward the other man's throat. It wouldn't be difficult parry, but that wasn't the extent of his assault.

Gabriel continued through with his right hand, aiming a tightly closed fist at the other man's nose. The impact would surely hurt, and most like cause his eyes to water up immediately, making spellcasting much more difficult. Should the mage block his sword strike, it would be incredibly unlikely that he would be able to avoid the fist as well.

OOC: Now I think it's getting good. You're showing an increasingly surprising talent for someone so new to the RPB scene.

KJ knew this wasn't good.His opponent decided to double attack just like he did.With a arcing blade and an angry fist speeding toward him, there wasnt much he could do.

He couldn't block them both.So he decided to take the blow of the less fatal one and in this case, the fist was best to absorb.KJ raised the Sol Katti and tried position his shoulder so that the fist wouldn't hit his nose.

As he raised the Katti to block the blade, the Heart's fist had come in contact with KJ's shoulder.The impact was strong enough to knock KJ to the ground.

As KJ was dazzed and falling to the ground he had an idea.At the moment KJ landed on the ground he lifted both his legs to the Gabe's stomach and mustered up all his strength to fling the warrior forward so he could get a chance to regain his equilibrium and get some distance between himself and Gabe.....
