So animals are important not to hurt, too? I thought it was just any other person. You're still not getting it -- as I said before, the list of people (or things) who are "important" enough not to hurt will get smaller and smaller.

You think a ten-year-old has a sound enough mind to consent to sex? Have you ever talked to a ten-year-old? You could get them to consent to anything. I'm not about to accept some paedophile's child molesting because the child "consented". The Age of Consent isn't because they're small, it's because their minds and emotions haven't matured enough yet.

No, it still hurts them. Punching someone who is very well built still hurts, just as taking money from someone wealthy is a violation financially.

If I had millions of dollars in the bank, and you took out a couple thousand of it, chances are I wouldn't even notice it. (Well, I probably would, but most people wouldn't.) It wouldn't hurt me at all to lose a little money, as I could extremely easily afford it, and it wouldn't make any difference to me. It wouldn't hurt anybody. But it would still be wrong.

Yeah, look at those damned liberalised countries in Europe, they're doing terrible. The fact that the majority, if not all, of the countries above the US in thier HDI are more liberalised means nothing either.

Socialism doesn't necessarily mean liberalism. (Although in America, the two are becoming nearly indistinguishable.) There's also the question of whether HDI could be replaced simply by GDP or per capita, both of which I believe America is first in. (No wait...I think Lichtenstein tops us in per capita income.) You've also got to look at the rest of the countries that are more liberalized than the United States, including many third-world countries, and I think you'd see it does much more than balancing it out.

... You know what? This is pointless anyway, I'm just gonna drop it from here on. Anybody with a logical though already understands the situation, and you're definitely not going to find out what you're talking about (especially when you think a girl or boy of ten can decide to have sex -- you don't happen to be Muslim, do you?), so I'll let it be.

All of those things that you said you want are forcing your morals onto people. Decent? Decent to who? You? Your Religion? Oh yeah, that's not forcing anything at all.

You think far too much of yourself if you honestly think that what you consider decent and ethical is the universal, catch-all deffinition.

You think a ten-year-old can decide whether or not to have sex. There's at least one report of Muhammad having sex with a nine-year-old girl. That's why the Age of Consent in many Muslim countries is nine. They figure, if she's old enough for the "Prophet", she's old enough for anybody else. Of course, she'd still be stoned to death if she had sex with somebody other than her husband, but that's another story. That, coupled with your resentment of anything Christian, would make Islam a logical assumption.
