Rofl, no it's not. FF8 is actually and most likely the easiet FF game in the series. Considering how easy it is to find some weak monster, draw all the magic from it, and do many many other things...I really thought most of it was straight forward and not in some hidden message. My first time I played all the way through it took me about 48 hours, of course I didn't get everything in the game...that would only take much longer.

However, I've replayed this game MANY times getting any and everything I can. However, RPGs have been my thing for years and no matter what game I get into I am very tactical about doing everything, even training. I just wished my super old FF8 disc worked =\, summons and battles won't load, though I was young and stupid so scratch scratch scratch *hits self*

Not realy if you don't want to get the good things in the then you will have a hard time in the playing it

It's not really hard 2 finish, but if you reaaly want to defeat The Secret Bosses, example, The Weapons.
It'll be tough for u.
