The Islands of Myth OOC

1934...

A raging storm in the Pacific Ocean, causes a freighter to crash upon the rocks, near a small group of uncharted islands. The surviving members of the crew, wash up on the shores of the islands. The islands, the fabled Papakoplas Islands, are inhabited by strange and dangerous creatures of yore. Manticores, chimeras, dragons, unicorns, and other mythical monsters roam the islands.

The few survivors, the crew of a U.S. cargo ship are trapped on the islands with no way out and little supplies. Rocks and jagged coral reefs block off the islands, making it difficult to escape by sea. So, with nothing else to do, the survivors head off into the dense jungles and ruins of the islands to search for help...and other things. The islands, which is also home to a strange tribal people, holds many secrets and treasures. The crew is in for a surprise as they search the Islands...

(Sorry, for the intro being short... I left much to the imagination)

You take the role of one of the survivors from the crash, to search for a way off the islands and maybe for treasure... And they must survive on the islands...

Name: James Callahann

Occupation: Sailor
Weapon: 9mm Pistol/Knife
Physical Appearance: Short dark brown hair. Blue eyes. Wears a captain's hat (found it on the shore, after the crash). Has scar over left eye (work accident). Wears black pants and dirty white shirt with a worn leather jacket over it. Old leather boots. Black belt with grimy silver buckle. Holster for 9mm is on his belt.
BIO: A sailor from Detroit, Michigan, James used to work at the docks near Lake Huron. James eventually moved out to New York, where he got a job working for a shipping company. He loaded and unloaded things on the cargo ships. He had an accident at work, when one of the crates ropes became undone and slid onto him. He was in the hospital for 6 months. After getting out, he returned to work, but had to do other duties, like cleaning up the boat and taking inventory. Now, after the crash, he finds himself on the shore along with the rest of the crew. James is a generally nice man (with a good sense of humor), who knows how to fight. He is rather smart, for a dockworker and has decent marksmanship. James served in WWI.

Physical Appearance: Short blonde hair, blue eyes. Wears a torn white shirt [torn from crash] and black trousers. Also has a gold chain around her neck with a charm containing a photo.
Bio: Bell grew up near the docks, and met her 'true love' there. Within seeing each other for two years he proposed, then the war came around..Bell never saw him again, during the war she served in the docks and eventually got dragged into working there after the war. As Bell silently greives she trys to lead a normal life. But when she wakes up on a island she's never seen or heard of, she begins to panick and the memories come flooding back..

BIO: A night club singer from New York, Vivian is a very beautiful woman. She has never been in a romantic situation, however. She writes and composes her own songs, mainly sad songs. Vivian's father and mother were killed by a robber when she was young and she was raised by her aunt. Vivian got tired of being a singer in New York and wanted to leave. She stole aboard a boat. She didn't care where it went, but she wanted to leave her past and memories behind. When the ship crashed, she was one of the survivors. She is about to be in one of the biggest adventures of her life...

Bio: While on summer break, Alex decided to broaden his horizons by taking temporary jobs on cargo ships, since his father was a dock worker. He never really enjoyed the actual work much, but as long as he got paid he didn't pay that any mind. At college, he studies English Literature, and took a modest number of books with him on the latest voyage. When he woke on a strange island, he was dismayed to find that his belongings were nowhere to be seen, save his baseball bat, which he was polishing at the time of the accident. Although nervous about being lost so far from home, he is nonetheless excited by the mystery of it all.

After leaving the military Leon spent time as a unlicenced bareknuckle boxer. went undefeated for a year and then quit suddenly. afterwards, he did a little soul searching. He is short tempered and is a slight alchoholic. However, he takes care of his friends, even if they are few. somehow he inherited a large sum of money under questionable terms, and began his traveling around the world. Nothing going on in his future, until this ... chance ... encounter with the strange.

Physical Appearance: Dark black hair, lime green eyes, scar running down from forehead to right eye, wears a light black shirt that is sleeveless, wears army pants and assigned boots. Has a loop on his belt to put knife in and keep safe. Always wears darkened sunglasses.
Bio: Vash is a russian american born in america in 1907, he fought in ww1 under the rank of sergeant, he held this rank for 13 years untile he decided to join the navy. Vash used to be a great boxer and would always fight with his knife but he is afraid of knives now because during a battle near Stalingrad in ww1 a german cut him and almost blinded him with a knife. Since that incident Vash has rarley smiled and has always slept with his knife incase anyone wanted to finish the job.

Bio: From the age 5 Carley had an interest in animals, her interest grew so when she entered junior high she knew more about animals than any other person in school, she dreamed of becoming a biologist then her dreams were answered when she left school she worked for a small company that hired keen learners, and taught them the basics of marine biology, because of this she know more about marine animals than those on land but her knowledge is still extensive. She has a huge scar on her ribs, but does not how she got because her birth parents died in a car crash when she was 1 n 1/2so was adopted her foster parents found the scar and an equirery was made but there were no answers. She is scoialable but if thinking she does not like being distrubed. She doesn't have much of a temper unless severly provoked then she will become very angry.

Physical Appearance:as a sailor for 13 years kendle has built is size to fit any accasion a ship might encounter when sailing the seven seas he has a long scar that travels from his left temple down to his juggular from where fragments of a battle long ago. he is showing signs of his age and wear of his work on the sea with rough hands and sun bleached and leather skin
Bio:kendle is from newark and started sailing with diffrent ships to get away from a bad marriage, he spends little time with ideal chit chat and has a even shorter time when dealing with his temper. his size is sometimes all he needs when dealing with others for his wounds that are very noticable show that he can take what ever most can dish out.

hmmm there seems to be a problem here. the story has just booted out some characters from the scene. it needs to be fixed, because it is quite confusing. first Vivian is healping Leon, then Vash pours some antidote, poisoncure down my throat, and now Carla appears and everyone else seems to have never been in the scene. the dilemma needs to be remedied.
