Fenii vs. Kai <~ Phoenix Challenge!! ~>

<~ OOC: IMPORTANT: This battle is created due to a challenge by Zell. He will be judged and based on that, he might get clearance to join the Phoenix Knights. ~>

It was a beautiful sunny day in Terra, where Fenii had set up the establishment of the Phoenix Knights. He had rebuilt it after his hometown, which was part of the Roman Empire.

He thought it was such a nice day, that he decided to take a walk through the town. He grabbed his royal red cloak trimmed with gold and slowly paced into the beautiful city of Terra. Fenii was a much loved man, and he noticed it even more as he walked through the town and receiving kind words from a lot of citizens. All the children wanted to know a few techniques, all the women whispered as he walked past, and all the men were proud of having someone like this representing them. Fenii had a tender smile on his face, knowing everything was okay.

Suddenly a small boy came running down the street: "Mr. Fenii!! Mr. Fenii!!!" When he had arrived at him he stopped to catch his breath: "...*huff*...*puff*....Leader, I want to know...*huff*...what do you think of the challenger?" Fenii was stunned: "Challenger? What challenger? I know nothing of this. I would certainly be glad to see one after such a long time. I'll go and check. Thank you, my son." The boy was glad to be of help as he watched Fenii march back to his palace in the center of town.

Once arriving there, he was immediately approached by his apprentice: "Master, where have you been all this time? There is someone who is here to challenge you." Fenii had came past the battle courtyard, which was pretty large, but surely he would've seen the challenger if he had past there: "Where is this challenger you speak of, my brother?" His apprentice quickly spoke: "I told him to wait outside the palace, in my house, I thought it would be rude to keep the man waiting on his feet." Fenii was feeling very proud of his apprentice: "And you have thought very well. Hurry off and get him, I'll hope to see him soon enough. Thank you for your trouble, my brother." With those words, the apprentice ran off, passing the huge square battleground, made out of white marble. Fenii knew that within a few moments, he would see the brave soul who challenged him.

Fenii decide to sit down while he waited for his apprentice to return with the challenger. He felt glad knowing there were people actually listening to his requests. Fenii then sighed and closed his eyes. Not long after that he was disrupted by his apprentice: "Master!! I've called for him, and he is here!!" Fenii slowly stood up, and walked without haste towards the only light, that the doorway let through. He saw his challenger: "Isn't he a bit too young?" He said. His apprentice replied: "Sir...does that really matter?" Fenii was surprised to see someone that young challenge him. None the less, he also found it brave and dedicated. He walked down the palace stairs towards the battleground. He walked slowly at his opponent, stopping a few metres before him: "Apprentice, please leave the battleground, you are free to watch, as so are others, but I do not think our fellow fighter here wants to be disturbed and deserves full concentration while in battle." The apprentice looked at Fenii as if he had summed up just what he was about to do. He left the battleground rounding up citizens to come and watch the battle.

Fenii made eyecontact with his challenger: "Well boy, I'm glad someone has the heart to challenge me. I presume you want to be a part of the Phoenix Knights, right? Anyway, try to give it all you've got. I'll let you begin whenever you are ready, good man..."

Kai walked out of the forest and he had some blood on his hand. Guess I went overboard this time.Kai thought as he licked the blood off. Kai was heading to Terra to challenge the leader of the Pheonix Knights for membership. Kai could see that Terra was right in front of him and he started smiling. He walked into town with the hood of his cloak up so, no one could see his face.

He looked around as people looked at him like they knew exactly what he wanted. He saw a large Palace and Kai knew that was the place to go for his challenge. He walked to the palace in a hurry and he grinned as he got closer. Kai was stopped by a boy before he could enter the palace. "What business do you have here?" The boy asked and Kai replied "I've come to challenge Fenii of the Pheonix Knights." The boy then signaled Kai to follow him into his house.

"Wait here while I tell my master." The boy said and walked out of the house and to the palace. Kai sat down and thought Finally I can make a difference in the world. I gotta do my best no matter what happens. The boy came in and said "Follow me into the Battle courtyard and my master will arrive shortly." Kai nodded and followed the boy. He reached the battleground and stood there waiting for Fenii. Kai pulled out his katana as Fenii walked in.

"I'm already ready." Kai said. With fire in his eyes, Kai ran at Fenii with a speed that was unhuman and vertically slashed at Fenii.

Fenii watched the boy run towards him filled with a strange fury, making him unsheathe his sword he carried in his back and easily blocked the attack with his right hand. He gave Kai a slight nudge to back off from Fenii: "Come on good man, we both know that was very predictable and easy to block. Something as small as this, could have already decided the battle. But, I am a fair man and am not the one who shall end a battle where it should actually start. I want to see a man's full potential. Only then is it a fair fight!"

Fenii sheathed his sword and focused an orb of fire in his right hand, parallel to his face: "Now, here you see the actual spell that will try to hit you. You know it will be coming towards you, but you do now, have not a single clue how, when or where the spell will go. So...be advised, I am going to attack...now!!" Saying that Fenii threw his orb of Fire to the right of Kai, eventually turning round him in a circle. Once it the spell came behind the young warrior for the second time, it turned towards him to hit him from the back...

Kai jumped back from Fenii and said "You wanna true potential then I'm gonna show you." Kai held Endless in the air with both his hands then, thunder came out of the sky and hit the blade. The thunder surged around the blade of Endless and Kai brought the katana in front of him. He was ready to strike again. "Get ready!" Kai yelled.

Kai then saw an orb of Fire pass him up and start circling him. Kai noticed soething was wrong when the orb of Fire stopped circling him. It was about to hit him and right before impact Kai did a backflip over the orb of Fire. "Deadly Thunder!" Kai yelled. He started running at Fenii and Kai looked like a blur. Kai flipped over Fenii and did several quick electrifiying slashes at Fenii's back.

OOC: Sorry for the short post but, i'm doing homework.

Fenii was glad to see that Kai had evaded the orb of Fire, which was now returning to him. He didn't feel the need to worry, seeing it was his own attack and absorbed his own Magic. What Fenii DID have to slightly worry about was the attacking Kai who was performing a strange Sword Magic attack.

The moment Kai jumped over Fenii, he foresaw the chance of attack. He knew very well what to do with this semi-predictable attack. He quickly drew his sword as he turned to counter Kai's attacks with his Quadra Slash. The clashing of the swords was a good sign, but Fenii felt strange after receiving shocks after each block.

Once he saw Kai was finished with his attack, he flapped his robe to block Kai's sight, so that Fenii could easily walk back from him: "Well, young warrior, that surely stung. I guess you might have some potential, just don't assure to much. The better you fight, the sooner this will be over." Fenii ended his short speech and undid the robes only button at the top, and threw the robe on the floor. The red Passion Ruby on his chest shined with great brilliance as the sun reflected in it.

"Now, young one, let us see what you are worth!" And without warning Fenii sprinted towards the young Kai holding his sword above his head, and attacked right in front of the young warrior. Kai was somewhat surprised to see the sparks fly as Fenii's sword hit the ground before him. Fenii was planning another attack, which Kai realised as the blade was suddenly heading horizontally towards him...

This guy is able to match my speed and that's a bad thing. I gotta find a way to get him off guard but can I?Kai thought to himself. Kai had to think fast or, he would be done for. Fenii was the first ture challenge he had in a long time and he wasn't gonna lose without a fight. Kai then noticed Fenii's attack and he was startled a little. When the blade hit the ground in front of him, Kai smirked and got ready to attack but, the blade went horizontally toward his chest.

Kai took his katana and blocked the attack. He pushed Fenii back and said "Your real good. I've haven't fought someone like you in years so, this will be a true challenge. But, I will become a Pheonix Knght no matter what." Kai's thunder formed a diamond shape in Kai's hand. He used Mach speed was able to get close to Fenii and he used Diamond Brigade. Kai held his hand out and the diamond got bigger and it enclosed Feniii inside it.

"I hope you can get out of this because I don't want this battle to end just yet." Kai said. Then the diamond started shocking Fenii from the inside. Kai grinnied and waited for Fenii to break free because Kai had something waiting on Fenii when he breaks out.

Fenii felt the heavy shocking in the diamond shaped attack, but had to laugh as it didn't have too much effect. His armour was so heavy that its own weight softened the attack. That was what his armour was designed for after all.

Still undergoing the shocking, Fenii pulled out his sword and used it as some sort of lightning rod. He threw it slightly in the air to let it hover and draw the electrical attacks attention. He now prepared a Fira attack. This spell, stronger than his previous Fire orb, had a more intense core, and could inflict more damage. But most importantly, it had a bigger radius, making it harder for it to miss. Fenii looked at Kai, and he wondered what he had up his sleeve. He realised the Fira spell wasn't going to be enough to cut it. He launched the spell at Kai anyway, and quickly came up with another plan.

His sword, which was still under electricity, would be an excellent way for a secondary attack. Fenii jumped up and grabbed his sword, receiving heavy shocks once again. When he landed on the ground, he readied himself by standing firmly with his feet, and catapulted his blade towards Kai, strangely enough dragging his own diamond attack with him. Fenii felt this rather much, a Fira spell, a sword heading towards him, AND a Thunder attack. Shamefully, it was too late for Fenii to alter this. Kai had to get out of this position on his own....

Kai was grinnnig until he saw that his attack wasn't doing much damage. I'm barely even harming this guy. He's gonna kick my a$$. Kai thought to himself. Kai saw the three attacks and he started to try to think of a way out of this. He couldn't think of anything to defend himself against this attack. Putting the katana in front of him and he stood in a defensive stance and waited for the attacks.

Right before the Fire spell hit, Kai noticed that he had about three seconds to move before being hit. The fire spell hit Kai and knocked him back. The fire spell turned Kai's cloak into ashes and his body was somewhat burned. Kai wasn't about to let the sword hit him. Taking the katana in both hands, Kai held it tight and swung vertically at the sword. The katana and sword connected and the sword was knocked away. He was too late to try and defend against the thunder attack and it him but, it barely hurt him because thunder was his main element.

It was time for Kai to try his Limit Break. I don't know if I can do this but, i'll have to try. Kai had never used Warriors of Thunder before so, he was unsure if it would work. A massive thunderstorm appeared a and large thunderbolts were striking the ground. Kai was focusing nearly all of his power to make this happen and he wasn't about lose now. A large amount of thunder surronded the blade of the katana then Kai ran at Fenii, jumped in the air, and came down hard upon Fenii.

After Fenii had launched his blade towards the young Kai, he knew that without an arm, he could be in serious trouble. He would be in no state to defend himself. That's why he decided to charge his Maxim Power skill. Fenii stood his ground firmly, and he felt energy flowing through his body coming from the heavy points of his body. These were mainly his feet and hands, caused by his heavy equipment.

As he felt the power gushing through his veigns, he noticed that Kai had awakened a strange spell that casts many bolts upon the land. His attention was drawn by this. He noticed a lot of them missed, and the ones that DID hit, sucked away parts of the energy Fenii was building up. He then saw Kai above him. Paralyzed by the bolts he was hit by, Fenii could only unleash the remaining power he had stored in him.

As Kai's katana touched Fenii, he felt the how much the young warrior wanted to win. The Maxim Power skill wasn't at full strength and couldn't stop Kai's attack. It did ease the pain, and knock Kai back with a weak blast. Both fighters were extremely weakened. Fenii noticed that. He felt he had seen enough to make a decision: "Young one, we shall end this battle, before any of us get injured. This is but a battle to show your spirit. I think you have succeeded in this. A true Phoenix Knight shall fight with every bit of his soul that he has. You have shown that here, on this soil. You my grab my sword and hand it to me, and I shall bless thee as a Phoenix Knight..."

Inferno, you really need to watch yourself with these closing posts of yours. I understand that you're ending the fight, but you keep godmodding in doing so. Quit knocking people around and such. GOSH, GEEZ, MAN, DUDE, WTF?!?! </outburst>

<~ OOC: I'm semi agreeing with you. First of all, all I'm doing is knock him back. I'm not hurting him, I'm not intended to. Second of all, he's hitting me. He has the greater advantage. Third of all, I'm creating a space between the two fighters, for dialogue, (monologue in this case ) which you know I do a lot. Okay, it's a bad example for the newcomers, but it's an accepting battle.

Fenii IS the man you know. And excuse me for my earlier stupidity, appreciate you tellin gme this ~>

OOC: Just doing my closing post for Kai.

Kai jumped into the air and yelled "YES!" He walked over to Fenii's sword and picked it up. He handed it to Fenii and he couldn't be more happier. I've finally did what I set out to do. I'm a Pheonix Knight now so, I should get some new clothes. Now that i'm part of the Pheonix Knights, I should be able to find the killers of my adpoted father and my real parents. Mom, dad I have joined the Pheonix Knights and I will make you proud.Kai thought to himself as he smiled.
