Okay then, just for example, I have saved model designs for all of the current members ranked Rook or higher, with the exceptions of Red XIV and Atma-Noah.

You won't be able to actually see the weapons and/or shields in these straightfoward shots since they're on the ground, but know that I've tried to keep as close to the original profiles as possible. If the lot of you like these character designs, and if Inferno Mage wishes to go with 3D images instead of sprites, know that there are hundreds of various actions, emotes, and other positions I can place the characters in to take screenshots. If you like what you see, feel free to suggest types of poses you'd like your characters to be in, and I will try to emulate that as best as possible:

I'm limited in eye/hair color/style, as mentioned, but I've done my best.



Notes:

Fenii: Had a really hard time finding a golden breastplate, believe it or not; opted for a crimson piece with heavy gold accents based on character profile. Opted for matching pants rather than solid crimson ones (it really just looked odd). Found satisfactory golden boots; opted for matching gloves. Can't add belts, but hopefully the one with the pants is sufficient. Couldn't find an orange/red sword, opted for the Holy Sword instead (silver with lots of golden accents, looks really nice with rest of clothing).

Victoria: Couldn't really find anything mythril that was v-cut or gave any real cleavage. Ditto on lack of skirts. Already discussed with Piroblaze, opted for a full-torso piece instead. Shade of mythril was not specified; based on character profile, felt the color of the Mythril Breastplate/Cuisses best fit the character. Could not find a red katana; went with a bronze(ish) one instead. Yes, I also got a Longbow for you.

Naberius: Can't manage a floor-length coat. Can't manage back-length hair, but did manage long, dark brown hair. Hope that isn't an issue. Matched other profile specifications as best as possible. Everyone seems to have a red sword... fortunately for you, there is a Greatsword that works in your favor, though the handle isn't white. You didn't specify the type of sword, so I hope that is not a problem. By the way, your sword? It's fucking HUGE. You'll like it. Fitting for a vampire.

Tenold: You didn't specify facial hair, but by the description of the character, I couldn't resist. Plus, I was able to get your eye color with that face selection. When I move the lighting, the hair is less blonde, so no worries there. Though the game offers mantles as equipment options, they are not visible in-game, thus, I couldn't wrap your character in a cloak. I went through the whole catalogue of body armor and the closest I could come to anything that looked worn out was the Raptor Jerkin. It's not entirely black, but it should be sufficient.



If any of you have any suggestions/requests for changes, I'm open to altering your character in any way possible. Not everything is possible to emulate, which is why I opted to include the notes.

If you are satisfied with your character, say so, and I will provide a handful of sample poses (most will include weapon usage) that may be used in signature images, again if Inferno Mage wishes to utilize the 3D art instead. (Or, you know, just so you can have them yourselves should you ever wish to include them in anything.)

Again, these images would only be representations of the characters. Symbols, if anything. I would hope that an opponent would still refer to your character sheet before facing you in battle, rather than basing everything off of an image which may not be entirely accurate.



As a side note, I will gladly host the club's banners if you guys would rather have something other than photobucket or imageshack keeping the image. You never know when you're going to lose something because of that.

The only problem with the FFXI Model Viewer is that apparently you can only use it if you actually own the FFXI game. The viewer pulls all of the .dat files from the various folders in the FFXI stuff, so yeah... that's the only downfall of it.

I'd rather not have a 3-D character model. Nothing against Colt, but it seems rather tacky.

Also, I think something should probably be made clear. Just because The Masters are challenging PK members does not necissarily mean they wish to join the PK. Far from it, The Masters would be quite pleased to simple smash you into the ground on an unofficial level. Unless the entire basis of your challenge was to draw people into your club.

Last I'd known, the point of a PK member issuing a challenge was just to have a sparring match, to test one's skills and whatnot. Only when a non-member specifically challenges a Pawn for entry is it "official" for gaining club entry.

Unless someone's gone and completely changed the club's system right under my nose, then the only actual match for entry at the moment is the one between DragonHeart and Overdriven, yes? And if that's so, DragonHeart would be granted admittance into the club without risking Overdriven's position, since we have openings to fill and wouldn't need to actually replace him.

If there's some other fight for admittance that I missed, please inform me.

And last I checked, Nekoness actually wanted to sign up to join this club, unless I misread Nekoness's post, heh.

Ah, you're right, I missed that one.

If that's the case, Nekoness would have to challenge Anomaly for his position, as he is the only other Pawn who isn't in the middle of a battle right now. Zell can't be challenged since there's a 99.9% chance that he'll lose his membership in a few days' time.

Now, that would mean neither Overdriven nor Anomaly would actually lose their positions in the club should they lose, nor does it mean that DragonHeart or Nekoness NEED to win their battles in order to gain entry to the club -- again, because they would be filling empty spots.

That would leave us still with one spot to fill.

If DragonHeart wins, she would assume what would be Overdriven's Rook rank, as Overdriven would then remain a Pawn. If Nekoness defeats Anomaly, she would also rank up immediately to a Rook position, leaving Anomaly as Pawn. If both DragonHeart and Nekoness lose, they still become the new Pawns, but both Overdriven and Anomaly would become the new Rooks, filling the spaces left behind by Red XIV's loss of membership and Alucard's promotion to Knight.

Does that make sense? I hope so. Then, after all of that, anyone could challenge one of the Pawns for entry, though it would not be at the risk of the Pawn's membership, thus filling the tenth spot.




...if Nekoness does not wish to battle with Anomaly for some reason (despite that neither's membership [or potential membership] would be on the line), then entry won't be granted, I suppose. Remember, only Pawns can be challenged for club entry. Any challenge issued toward Piroblaze can only be for sparring purposes, not club entry.



Ugh, what a mess.

In any case, unless Inferno Mage has something else in mind, I'm going to declare a 16 post limit on the bout between DragonHeart and Overdriven, and it will be judged by a third party (most likely Spike) upon its completion. Though the victor technically wouldn't matter in terms of entry, it will matter in terms of the user's PK intra-club fight record as well as potential rank outcome.

I like the sixteen post limit. It's up to IM in the end though.

And I didn't think any of The Masters actually wanted to join. I just figured their egos had been hurt and they wanted to try and knock around any of the PKs they could get their hands on.

Once DragonHeart and Nekoness are in, it looks like we may have most of this bumblefvck sorted out. Let's hope.
