Final fantasy vi glitches

Have any of you experinced any weird glitches in ff6 in your life? i have. when i was fighting the statues at the end of the game (i was at least one or two statues away from kefka). Anyway, while i was fighting the statues right out of nowhere general leo jumps into battle in a blink of an eye. and i was fighting with him alone and i died afterwards. That was the most intresting thing i ever experinced.

Weird... I've never heard of that one. I mean, it's no mystery that FF6 is one of the glitchiest games we've ever seen from Square. The glitches range from the serious (If Sketch misses, performs a bad memory access which can do anything from crashing your game and deleting your saves to loading your inventory with several million gil worth of rare items) to the bad (your physical evade stat is meaningless - everything checks against your MBlock. By correlary, Blindness is alse meaningless) to the plain weird (Rippler swaps a bunch of statuses that shouldn't ever be swapped... such as the status that allows Interceptor to block hits for Shadow). But the examples I cited are just the well-known bugs; there are many, many more weird glitches in the game.

There's a list out there of every known bug/glitch in FF6. I spent the last 15 minutes unsuccessfully looking for it. If I find the link, I'll post it here.

I did the part where you have to wait for Shadow, except he never came, and the game ended. I did it again and he came within the last 5 seconds. I don't get it.

The glitches are only on the original SNES cartridges. The remake on the PS1 fixed most, if not all of the glitches. If you don't buy it, you really are missing out.

When you get to the end of the floating continent, you've got to choose "No, gotta wait for Shadow" or something similar. If you don't and you leave, Shadow will die. Or if you don't choose it and you stay, like what happened with you, you'll die.

By the way, here's something that talks about the glitches in FFVI:

I had weird glitches when I was just battling simple monsters, I can't remember where this was now but I can remember my people turned red and General Leo appeared and it left me quite confused. That General Leo must have returned from the grave. It was very bizarre.

I dont know if its a glitch or not, but when you reunite with Locke in the world of ruin and he shows Celes the items he collected from Phoenix Cave and one of thems "Fenix Down". Is this a misspeeling of "phoenix down" or is it ment to be like that? i never experienced that general Leo one but when i was in my first time battle with Kefka, he attacked 5 attacks in a row, the first being "fallen angel" and the next ones wiping out each party member, which was a bummer since fighting that wall A.G.A.I.N. was getting very tedious!

That's what Phoenix Downs are called in VI.

Palazzo's right, this isn't a bug right here. However, there are two points in the game where you acquire some sort of treasure and the little dialog box comes up to tell you what it got... but the item that is added to your inventory is not what the message claims you got. It's generally quite a good deal worse; a potion instead of some really good item, or 200 gil instead of 2000.
