I'm torn; I used to say Cloud, as he was the "angst teenager" type, but now I've restarted FFVIII for the first time since I was, ooh, say 18 (now 24), I'm starting to really like Quistis again! She's the intelligent, shy giggly type that has hidden confidence that I'd go for! And I will argue that she IS a heroine!

For me, i would choose Locke (from FF VI). He to me represents what all heros should be like. He's the kind of swash-buckling rogue that would give his life to protect the ones he love. He acts as a constant guardian to both the female characters (Terra and Celes). Maybe acting this way because of the loss of his love, Rachael? He may not be a ladies man king like Edgar, or a muscle bound warrior like Sabin, but Locke has the biggest heart, and i think that's what matters in the end.

Like Kelly, I would say Yuna. The name Yuna is Ainu for "blossom" and Okinawan for "night." She is one of the greatest summoners in Final Fantasy series. Her personality is intriguing. YUNA? first off, "she's changed from X to X-2?" How is this a good thing? In X, she's shy and softspoken then without any reason or explanation, in X-2 she is the complete opposite. I think square has to rewrite that, it's almost like she is an entirely different character.

and Yuna ultimately is a weak character..constantly being helped by her team of guardians. If anyone is a hero in FF X..It's Auron.

Umm, I would choose Squall, coz he is very emotionless, so is Cloud. I also like Yuna, although shes not likely the same as the other two Ive mentioned, it just that shes very pretty and all.

I would have to say that my favorite FF hero would have to be eather Cid (FFVII) or Vincent (FFVII) but I also like in each FF the hero @ the time and 'respect' them for what they go thru to over come the 'trials' of that game...

dont know why but i think he rocks....maybe cause black mages are my favourite....and all that crazy clone story is really cool too......

From the beginning working forwards, I'd say...probably Cecil from FF4, he was an awesome hero, the first really deep one. I loved Faris from FF5 cos she was a pirate and kicked ass while looking good!
For some reason, even though he wasn't really such an awesome character I really connected with Shadow in FF6, I loved his theme song and something about him was just so sad and made me wanna cry for him at the end.
Tifa will always be my all time-fave character...lol
Edea from FF8 kicks ass, just cos she looks cool. Can't say much for the other characters. Plus Edea's really a kind person behind all that makeup, freaky hat and walking-through walls shite.
Vivi from FF9 was adorable, and after him comes Freya, I really liked her personality and her theme song!!
And finally...Lulu from FF10. Her character is quite deep because under her aloofness she's actually hiding a lot of personal pain and trying to deal with her issues without looking for help.
