| The Old Skool Warrior | First of all, you've gotta have the Avenger sword. Make sure Cecil has arrows equipped in his good hand (that'd be the one with the stats) and then any bow of choice in his bad one. Enter battle, preferrably an easy one, and don't let any characters make any actions. If Cecil does not max his ATB gauge first, let the other characters pass their turns by parrying. During Cecil's first turn, enter the item screen. Move the arrows he has equipped to an empty item slot, and then move the Avenger sword into his bad hand. Exit the item window. Cecil's commands will disappear because the Avenger sword has now cast Berserk on him. Allow the battle to finish with all other characters parrying. Post-battle, go to Cecil's equipment screen. Move Avenger to an empty item slot, and place the sword you'd like to replicate into his good hand. De-equip the sword you've chosen, then re-equip it. You should have O# swords in your inventory -- likely 255 (it can't actually display the number). Now, imagine Edge throwing Excaliburs. You've got hundreds to spare, so why not? ...that is the glitch you're talking about, right? By the way, that only works in the SNES cartridges, not in the PSX re-release. | ||||||||

| I had no idea that glitch exsisted to be honest. Damn. ..yet I suppose that most regular FFIV users know of ye'ol Excalibur dupe. • When in battle, select the Item option. Scroll to the top to see what is equipped in the Left and Right slots. Scroll back down to the Item list, select an empty space and place it in the hand where the Weapon was -> win the battle, goto the Equipment menu, place the Excalibur in the empty slot. Excalibur2. Un/Re-equip the Excalibur and you got a spare copy. Almost like pirating a CD, lol. | ||||||||||||

Inventory | DAAAAAMN, someone beat Dawezy in an aspect of FFIV knowledge. Personally, I never got the avenger sowrd in any of the dozens of times I've played FFIV. I wonder why... Probably just never felt like it.

| Does what you can't. | Wow. I didn't have any idea there was something like this. Like Dawezy said, I knew about the one-by-one dupe glitch. It works for much more than just Excalibur, though. Doing it with the Fire or Ice or Ogre weapons is a good way to make a little extra money to buy the next set, if you need it. The Avenger sword is hidden. Can't remember what cave it's in -- Dawezy would probably know (maybe Luca's Cave? Nah, too late. Eblan? I dunno) -- but it's off to the right in a room with a Save Point in it. I know that really narrows it down, but I can't remember which cave. | ||||||||

Inventory | Avenger is in the Sylvan cave I think, in one of the chests there. I believe you have to fight either a Marlboro or some other hard enemy to get it. I might be wrong, it could be in the summoned monster cave, but it's in one of the two.

Inventory | love that glitch, should be common knowledge among most FFIV gamers as its the only thing that merits Edge being kept alive during the zeromus fight.
