yeah i think it is about $2000. Its a lot of money for a girl aged 14 with a gaint shopping centre 10mins away! it wasn't really from Anti-santa it was from my Grandma because she has just died and it was in her account and my grandpa thought she would have wanted us to have it, However i got it on christmas day and there was a card with a cheque for £1000 so i consider it a christmas present. Yes the ps3 is something i am going to buy with the £1000. i think ps3's come out next summer i might spend £500 and save £500. Now here's an intersting question if you had £1000 what would YOU spend it on. Also what do you think i should buy?

edit: i know this makes me seem kinda rich and snobish but my parents aren't fantastically rich- infact there quite poor- just my grandma had a lot of money in her account i guess.

I would go to a major city, pick up four slutty hookers for the night. Take them back to my place, than beAt them and chain them in my back room. Take the money back, lock myself in with them and have my evil way with them.

. . .That actually doesn't really answer what I would do with the money since I still have it but, what the hell? I'd probably go out the next night and repeat the entire process over again.

Been gone for awihle, back now. I was kept away from the computer due to RL.

Hail the Brotherhood!

Damn Cantido! That was actually going to be my answer.....at least something involving hookers was.

Well now I'm relieved. I thought you were getting the PS3 plus the £1000. That would have been insane. Still, it is quite a load of money. I'd probably stick all the money into upgrades for my car while simultanesouly investing in future sexual escapades since no woman can resist a hot guy in an even hotter car.....or so I hope.

Yeah it would be insane because it would never happen im buying a ps3 with my OWN money, my mum would never dream of buying me a ps3 because she's very anti-gaming-every single thing to do with consoles or gaming i had to buy myself and save up the money- she barley tolerates me going on the ps2 and compter, the horrors of living with your parents grrr! And your right about the car thing happened to my mates dad, hes got an aston martin db9 very swish! On the way to pick up his daughter(my mate) some woman about 25-27 somewhere round there gave him a kinda aww nice car must be a great person in bed kinda nod if ya see what i mean but as soon as they saw he had a kid they wern't interested

Sorry for the lack of activity currently and the lack of activity to come. I spent the last three days playing RADIATA STORIES non stop with some DRAGON QUEST VIII on the side.

If you are familiar with Star Ocean than Tri-Ace probably needs no introduction, as they created that in addition to Radiata Stories. I would say this game is a more comedic version of Star Ocean 3: Till the End of Time (or perhaps a more mature version of Kingdom Hearts) with astounding Anime visuals and a cynical yet immersive plot. The gameplay is pretty innovative as well (at least for an action RPG), with the Battle Link System and all the other strategic commands you can issue in battle or whatnot. While challenging, it is quite short, I beat it in a little under 29 hours. Anyhow, if you're a fan of RPGs, you must play it! I give it 9.5 out of 10.

It's strange, I thought DQ8 would be the blockbuster of the winter, but Radiata Stories blows it away like a nuke (though they're not tenchnically of the same genre). Also, judging from the FF XII demo, that game will probably be a steaming pile of dog crap yet I'll probably get it just so I can say that I own every FF one of these days. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll to play some more Dragon Quest...

What! Final Fantasy XII looks like shit. That's actually kind of a let down since I was hoping it would be the end of the slump that Final Fantasy games are in. Ever since Final Fantasy IX, the series has kind of become bland in my opinion. Of course this doesn't mean they weren't enjoyable but they just don't seem to take you and force you to spend three weeks playing them straight anymore. It's more something to pass the time rather than an addiction....

Well, the demo doesn't necessarily provide the best of what's to come, and I'm sure on the graphical end, that isn't as refined as things will finally be. Of course, everyone talks about how the PS2 has soooooo much power, but no games really take advantage of it. Why? Because an entire game running at such high resolutions would fry your PS2 with ease.

In any case, I haven't played the demo myself, but I'm not letting myself be dragged down by the opinions regarding it. The way I see it, hey, it's just a demo and nothing more. Sure, if I buy the game and am let down, so what? It can't be that bad, you know. Besides, I've made worse purchases.

Yours,
That Ambassador Guy

For my taste, FFX was very addictive, it's among my top 3 ff's of all. FFX-2 sucked my balls brutally hard though. Currently playing ff6 again.

Since work is going easy these days, I worked a bit on the club and site stuff:
- BoD forum: moved "Webmaster's Corner" and "Dark Fiction" to plane 1 and Vic's Log to "Dark Fiction".
- finally updated the club history
- updated Leviathan's profile
- updated the character creation rules and put them on the start page
- revised the start page
- invented important-/sticky-flag for threads (like FAQ)

I might have exaggerated when I said FFXII looked like total shit. The graphics were good enough and I'm sure the plot will be solid enough also, but the gameplay is what I find to be dissapointing. Have you played Parasite Eve? It plays very similar to that. I don't really see the point of a turn based RPG where you can move around freely in battle because the enemy's attacks will hit you no matter how much you try to avoid them. I just think they should make it an action RPG if they went through so much trouble.

Wow! You got alot of stuff done in the past couple days I see. Site's looking good.

Well, I liked FFX as well but for me it was not close to as good as FFVII or even FFVIII. I must agree though, FFX-2 sucked hairy man balls but then again, it was entertaining enough for me to not regret having gotten it.

Well, I wasn't really saying that FFXII would be a total failure Cesar. I was simply stating that I hope that it wouldn't fall to the problem of recent predecessors. I actually am quite optimistic for XII and will probably get it when it comes out (that means I'll have it about a year later since I'll be lacking the money to get it on it's release )

EDIT: Good point there Trev, on the moving around if you can't dodge the attack anyways.

It's just not the inability to dodge your opposition's attacks, you also can't act until the time guage is full. They really ought to make it one or the other, not some bastard real time/turn based hybrid.

I'm quite fond of FF XII's battle system. From what I made of the demo anyway. It reminds me a lot of Vagrant Story's battle system, and I am a big sucker for that particular game.

It's some rather simple battles which you actually get to fight in the demo though, so the final result will probably be quite a lot more impressive. And under all circumstances it is a nice change from 3/4 characters standing on a line, taking turns on whipping the enemy.

I'll have to agree with you on that one Dark Christ FFX-2 sucked wang like no other and as for 10 I didn't really like it all that much but I played it for all of 15 minutes at a friend's house. Currently I'm playing Rome Total War and I am saddened by the fact I have to annhilate the barbarian factions as the Romans before I can play as them. Dammit I want to be Germanic Warlord NOW!!!!!!!!

Yay I am going back to work Tomorrow and that means I have an excuse to get away from my parents and goof off on the computers at the radio station.

i have played parasite eve which one are you referring to? If you mean the first one i would be much more tempted to buy ffxii because i thought parsite eve 1 was very good. However if you mean parasite eve 2 i would have to reconsider buying it because lets face pe2 totally sucked compared to the orginal, oh wait does this sound familair to anyone *cough* ffx-2 *cough*. I might just buy so i can say i have every final fantasy cept 3, damn you square for only releasing it in japan! Just realized what do you mean the attackes always hit, if you can move around freely in battle they you can sometimes move out the way.

Indeed, it quite fun being a German tribesman compared to a Roman Legionaire. Screw order and discipline when you can have brute strength and rage. Odin calls...

As i said, I'm actually quite optimistic for the new battle system. It should be a refreshing taste of the gamemakers at Square-enix.
