A club especially made for the best video game of all time - The Metal Gear Series!

Q: What separates us from just creating a General Gaming topic?

Members get to have their very own MGS Character alias
MGS Themed roleplays (not necessarily playing as the characters in the game itself but more of an RP based on the MGS storyline/premise)
We have banners :

OUR GOLDEN RULE
Since Metal Gear is known to have really unexpected twists in every game, it is EXTREMELY important for all of us to make use of the "spoil" tag.

Using the SPOIL tag:

Why do you love this game: Why? It's just so fun. Once you take your first bite, you'll want the rest of the thing. Story line, sneaking missions galore.. Mmm.. Jucy. Since my recent "increase" in enjoyment and craving for the series, I will pull out my old sig before MGS3 came out. Check back here to see!

Hmm..I am afraid I cant let you in the club just yet Aleks. Believe me it's for your own good. You will be so prone to spoilers. And that's one of the beauty in the metal gear series - you'll never know what's really going on.

I love your sig and avy Streamlined! About the titles. I have them in my work PC. I can post them tomorrow. And since you know so much about the metal gear, would u co-lead this club?

One thing I know, you shall have the title of "Big Boss" in this club. I like Sniper Wolf, but I dunno if I should be "The Boss" instead..lol

I'll be glad to be the co-leader of the club. Big Boss eh? It has a very "authoritative" sound to it so I like it

. Anyway, nice try for getting in Aleks. Maybe next time you can get in but I do have to agree with Quists about the spoilers. As for the bannerness floating around, I absolutely love it! I'm going to put it under mine for looks. Anyway, I hope that we can get this club onward to a great start because it sure is looking like it

About the Aliases, I was thinking of doing them as a ranking of sorts for the people of the club. I am trying to put up a way to determine the rankings of the characters in the whole MGS series. lol. All I'm sure of is that Big Boss and The Boss should have the highest rank. Next will be Solid Snake of course. i'll have to figure out the rest. When I post the list maybe you can help me.

Okay, I have thought about the member aliases and I decided to divide us into three groups : The Patriots, FOXHOUND and Cobras though I dont expect a ton of members to participate in this club

I chose COBRAS for the novice level instead of Dead Cell because they're name is related to "Snake" and therefore their presence made more impact than the Dead Cell in the overall series somehow.

So in short, all we need to do is ask the applicant whether he needs spoiler tags or not.lol

lol, streaml1ned, you're Big Boss so you're under the Patriots, which is higher than FOXHOUND in this club. =P

Thanks for the list! I realized that I missed certain names. ^^

So far there are only 2 of us in this club though, makes me a little sad.lol

Master Miller was in MGS1. He calls you as soon as you enter into airducts in the nuclear weapons facility.

I dont remember Master Miller for some reason.Also, I dont remember anyone calling Volgin "Thunderbolt" in MGS3.lol

Why do you love this game: Because the storyline is awsome and the characters are so cool. Konami really did a great job creating this game
Do you still need spoiler tags for up to the Snake Eater game?: I never need to know any of the spoilers because i figured most of it out by myself. Alot of it is common sense. So my answer is No i will never use spolier tags to help me understand a MGS game because it ruins the whole game if someone else tells you something that you don't know.

I really didnt get what you were trying to say about the spoiler tags. Spoiler tags are necessary for people who havent played all the games yet. In your case, yeah, you dont need it anymore since you said you were able to play all the games. Therefore, spoiler tags are not there to help you understand the games, but for courtesy to those people who havent played all the games yet and not ruin the suspense for them. Hope you get what I mean.
