The MGS games you played: All, and the original two MSX MG games, little of Snake's Revenge, but not MG1 on NES.
Fave characters in the series: Naked Snake, Big Boss (I count them as two), Liquid Snake, SIGINT.
Your favorite MGS game: I really can't decide between MGS1, 2 and 3.
Why do you love this game: MGS had the best plot to it, and the best atmosphere. MGS2 and 3 had great gameplay, I liked MGS2's all rounded feel of gameplay, but I also liked MGS3's stuff like CQC. Each game has it's flaws though. I'd probably be saying MGS3 here, but I pretty much found out the whole story and the camera really pissed me off in the jungle.
Do you still need spoiler tags for up to the Snake Eater game?: No.

Could I have please have the Liquid Snake title?

Spoiler: He did get all BB's dominant genes...(people tend to forget that)

Plus, he has the coolest voice. And can pull off blonde hair.



By the way, anybody else think we should've seen a little more of Raikov? His character was interesting. Screwed up. But interesting.

I tought maybe anybody her new:Is it possible to play trough the plant-part with Snake or trough the tanker with Raiden?

No. You can go on those maps as characters on MGS2: Substance but on weird selected missions.

MGS3's executive producer: Motoyuki Yoshioka will be directing the next game.
Rumour has it; MGS3 was his 'trial run' with Kojima co-holding the reigns so to speak.

A dramatic change of location is guaranteed. But no factual news on the game and it's plot.

Spoiler: Dark hair is supposed to be dominant than blonde. So that kinda confuses me now that I think of it. Maybe Kojima or someone just overlooked that part. *shrugs*

I cant wait for MGS4. I hope that they wont change it too much that it wont be faithful to the previous MGS games. But im sure it would be another kickass game.

It's funny how they always tend to ridicule Raiden/Raikov. I think he's a pretty cool guy except for the Jack and Rose thingy.Well, it was Rose's fault >_<

I got a dvd with MGS,it explained awfully many things for example the Jack and Rose thing was to make the story more "Sheakespearic".It also explained many hidden messages in the game for example.....(Spoiler time):

Spoiler: At the near end of the game when Ocelot explains everything....and Dave(Snake) and Jack(Raiden) are handcuffed.The scene when Snake breaks trough the cuffs is symbolysing that Snake is breaking out of his DNA becoming something else then the evil "brothers"

The dvd is very interresting and gives MGS a kinda deeper meaning.....Anyone of you seen it?

First off, yay for my ranking. Secondly, if you look at Shinkawa's MGS1 artwork of Big Boss (old), he has blond-ish hair same as Solidus. I think 'Jack' of MGS3 was just given brown hair for Snake-ishness. The official story is probably that he dyed it or something. But, if you look in MGS2, Snake has blondish streaks in his hair, perhaps he died his own hair brown and it was fading on the plant.

It wasn't just Rose although she was Raiden's character's main flaw. He whined a lot and his voice actor could be annoying at times. Plus he looked too girly. Although I did like his athleticism, and the fact due to his size he was harder to spot than Snake. TECHNICALLY he was superior to Snake in SoL.

But Raikov had one line in MGS3 - "Hey!". I think we should've seen a little more of him in general. Like, when Volgin...

Spoiler: kills Granin and they find the transmittter, it would've been a great place to splice Raikov in. He could walk away with Volgin in that 'more than friendly' manner we hear so much about.

What would you have liked to have been different in Snake Eater? Also list things that could've been better.


I think that stupidly long ladder climb should've been replaced with an area like the bit before you fight the Fury. But going up and with guards on. That would've made for some sweet stealthing.

I thinkthe fight with the End shoudl've been in one area, maybe two, three was far too stupid and annoying.

The camera needs fixing.
The Fury battle needed a more rotational camera too.

Raikov should've had more screentime, plot and dialogue and stuff. We barely saw him, heard a litle about him' He's that kind of guy' and 'beat the crap out of him'. The most we heard FROM him was 'Hey!' in a ratlike voice.

There should've been a bigger deal about Snake losing his eye, and it shouldn't have been such a cheap cop out, the Boss or someone should've done it.

When you get the eyepatch the little back patch to the right of the screen should disappear. To give the eyepatch more effect and the fact it would stop Snake using that eye at all. The eyepatch should've had a little history to it too.

Eva's escorting should've been shorter.

Sokolov's body should be seen, why wasn't it in the torture room? Or we should've see him get beaten to death.

The Philosopher's history should've been more spread out in the game.

A few more radio calls but with a nicer more 'active' radio screen would've been great.

Ocelot fight should've been earlier.

Cobras should've had more history too. MGS1 style!

The Fear should've been a better boss fight. Instead of standing still and using thermal goggles and FPV to look up and round to shoot him, have something varied and cool.

The west wing of Groznyj Grad should have infiltratable.

Secret MGS1 sneaking suit camo.


I also think a moving mouth on the Mask would be so cool! I love playing as Raiden but with a cool voice. Although you look horribly disproportioned when 'Naked'.

Hmm..i cannot think of anything else that I would like to change with Snake Eater. I am very much satisfied in the game. The End and The Fury kinda annoyed me in boss fights but it was more because that the fights challenged me than they were flawed or something.

I think it's just good that Raikov wasnt given a lot of exposure. I think he was just there as an Easter egg sorta and nothing relevant to the main plot. Also maybe to avoid confusion and too much speculations if Raiden would make an appearance in the next MGS games.

YES ALREADY!! Hehe.. Ah, I'm just playing with ya but yes I am ready for an RP as I need to brush up on my writing skills some more. The only thing that I had a problem with SE (Don’t hate me for this) is when you fight The End. I wish that you could really have an all out sniper duel (aka Enemy at the Gates) or something equivalent to that. That would be really awesome but other than that the game was awesome.
