Interesting club idea.

There was an MGS club a while back, called Foxhound.

It's been my dream for at least two years to try doing an RP in the MGS style, but when Foxhound tried, it totally fell flat, as I predicted it would (they decided to pretty much do the first game as an RP... so everyone who played a character from the game was limited in their playing, and everyone who created their own character had their own troubles).

If I had to choose a name from the remaining names, it would be Revolver Ocelot because he's badass... (except for that "Liquid's Hand" thing... pretty dumb), especially after the events of MGS3.

I've beaten all the Playstation Metal Gears and I got a good chunk of the way through the GC one (almost at the end actually, when you start changing keys) when I accidentally saved over my file with a record I restarted. I also played the NES Metal Gear for about 3 minutes before I got annoyed with everything about it.

What they did with Twin Snakes was fantastic for those of you who haven't played it. The Gamecube controller isn't really suited towards Metal Gear gameplay, but once you get past that, the game ends up being better than MGS2 (it doesn't hold a candle to MGS3, but still)

My favorite part of any of the games is the boss fight with The End. It was a badass fight. It took me 4-5 tries to beat him, and every time he kicked my ass, I was blown away by how great he was. And the way our fight ended was awesome. He was sneaking up on me, but I caught him so he ran away. I crouched and crawled around a corner, and there he was, squatting in the middle of the field... neither of us had cover, so I just pulled out my rifle and shot him... messed him up good.

EDIT:
Neo: In the VR Missions Expansion for Metal Gear Solid, you can play as the Ninja, which means you get the sword. But I'm not sure if the controls are the same or not because I never got to play it (my cousin in Denmark had the European MGS and the American Special Missions, so it didn't work).

Ah yeah, I remember that club FOXHOUND. Although I did like MGS at the time, I dont think Sons of Liberty was out at the time yet.

Anyways, I have an idea on what my character will be in the RP. I just dont know what to do with the main plot and stuff. You can post your idea if you want. lol

Fave fight? The End's fight was frustrating at first for me. But then, I got to like it once I got used to it. It's really an interesting fight. Different from the rest. I love sniping fights too so the battle with Sniper Wolf was one of my faves.

The most moving stories I came across with the whole series were the stories of Emma Emmerich and The Boss. How about you guys?

Hey, saw this club and I just had to get in. I'm a huge MGS fan. The only one I haven't played is the very fist one that came out. I can't find it anywere.

Why do you love this game:Why not? I just love how this game is made and the story lines and the sneaking missions that you do. Ever since MGS came out one PS1 I've been hooked.

My most memorable moment would have to be in MGS3 when you finally fight "The Boss". I think it’s an old cliché of how "learner" learns from "master" then "learner" gets to fight "master". You know, that sort of thing.

I like the fight with "The Boss" too. It was a really fun fight. You get to for once fight for your own self. Everytime you see the Boss the game controls what happens. But in the end you get to see if you are really strong enough to beat the Boss. Once you beat the Boss you then become the Boss. It's like with that japanesse samurai class thing. You are only an aprentence until you kill your Sensei. Once you do that you become the new Sensei. I also felt really bad when you found out about the Boss's son is taken away.

The Boss would be mine too. The battle was kind of hard but I beat it. It was hard to see the boss with the white on.

Has anyone beat the monkey game thing to get some camoflash? I can't get all in a minute....any tips.

I haven’t totally beaten the Monkey Missions yet. Some of it can tend to be tricky at sometimes. I would suggest just keep trying it. Anyway, the way I beat "The Boss" was just to use Thermal Goggles so. I always kept running out of battery power so I got killed a lot. It also helps to use them when you are fighting "The End". Ahh, good memories.

they also helped me when i fought the fear. It took me a little while to beat him but i did. he just kept jumping from tree to tree and i keep lossing site of him at some points.

What was the hardest fight for you? Mine would be with the boss. it was just really hard and it took me a while to beat the boss. like.......2 hours or so to figure out what to do.

I loved the second Sniper Wolf fight, because my strategy is fantastic:
1) Take Cover
2) Use the Nikita and fly it across the field, hitting her in the ankle.

It's slower, but it's cooler because she doesn't get a hit on you at all.

The Boss fight was pretty epic, plus it was my first chance to use my snow colored camoflauge...

The way I did it was 1 shot with a sniper rifle, then crawl your ass around.

Supposedly, if you crawl through the logs, there are snakes inside you can kill and eat for food... there are three of them. Solid Snake, Liquid Snake, and Solidus Snake. I think it's a nice touch. What I want to know though, is what Paramedic will say about the food if you call in.

I agree about the Boss being hard to see cos of her sneaking suit. I just love it when I got the chance to CQC her. I used my tranquilizer sniper rifle to kill her.
The fight with the Fury was frustrating at first and the one with the End.

That looks very sweet Quists. I would have to agree that you do have skills

. Anyway, I didnt have to use any camo when I fought The Boss. I just kept my distance and threw a couple of grenades. Then I hit her a couple of times with my rifle. It was a really a great battle.

Looks good Quistis I like that one better.

When i battled the boss i threw her on the grownd and used the AK-47 on her head. Then i ran off. When i got hert i just healed and keep it up. Also i used that white camoflash thing to blend in.

Yeah i used the snow camouflage as well. What i did was that i stayed as far away from her as possible then use my Mosin (The End's tranquilizer sniper rifle) and the thermogoggles to see her. Cos her sneaking suit blends so well with the environment.

I killed all the bosses with tranquilizer guns so I can get their camos. =P

I found this blog site with some guy who sang Snake eater in the ps2 karaoke game. The mp3 was hilarious!
