Well I've been in contact with Fuzz more often lately. We talked a lot about the future of the FFXI section on TFF. I have grand plans for it. Unfortunately for me, I cannot do it in a reasonable amount of time without help.

I am needing people to research, type up, and gather information on FFXI. We need to build content for the section. That starts by getting lists of items, monsters, regions, everything that has something to do with FFXI written down. There is a lot that will be required for the site and we need your help to make it come together.

If you are interested in helping out build the FFXI section with me post here. Tell me your experience in the game, any experience in websites, and html. It is not required that you know html or web design, but it will be helpful. Being able to simply get things typed up on word will be great help.

Naturally anyone that works on the site will become part of the FFXI section staff, you would all report to me. Everything you do comes through to me and I will get it up on the site, but it will retain who submitted it and contrabuted to the work.

So anyone with free time and the wish to improve TFF come sign up.

Due to me being of a low level I couldn't help much, but I could tell you about general things happening on the Shiva server if that would help?

Well some of things you can do you do not need to have a lot of game experience for. Such as making a list of the NPC shops. That is something that I need to work on, and anyone can do that it. Just involves you running around towns marking down what all the NPCs are selling.

Things that are directly related to a server, rather than the whole game do not concern me at this time though.

If you are interested in what I mentioned, I can explain more to you about it.

The problem about this is, there are way too much to hold it in TFF. If you checked other information sites for Final Fantasy XI like MysteryTour, SomePage, and Allakhazam, there are way too much that just some random people in here can handle.

Not that it's a bad thing though mind you, just that it would be a really hard task. Just my 2 gil.

Monster Bestiary
- includes lvls, item, drops, region appearance, agro, etc.
Item List
- includes how you can acquire them, description, and relevant other info
NPC Shop Listing
- items sold, your nation, your fame rank, price, nation's conquest rank, location of NPC
Region List
- monsters found in area, description, how to obtain map
Conquest Point Items
- item listing, rank, points required, nation's conquest rank required
Guild Recipes
- synthesis, desynthesis, lvl, items required, etc.

You get the idea ^^

If ya' do this from scratch, it could take a very long time. Why not copy from another site? >.>; I can list a few very great information sites if you want.

That's what I planned on.

I plan on writing some strategies for all the job classes. I need to level them all, though...

I can tell you about THF(25) or WAR(15) so far.

Guess I have some work to do! ^^*

I'm with Skai on using information on other sites. Allakhazam, KillingIfrit, etc.

But the personal strategies can be our own "special" thing.

General information that is universal, yeah that is fine. Allakhazam will be a fine source. It will still mean a ton of work either way though.

Though I want ours to be more accurate than Allakhazam. They have a few areas they are weak in. One of my pet pevs is their NPC store, its inaccurate and miss leading, especially for new comers. I want to make ours better.

But by all means, borrow from what sources you can. And get it into a nice looking format readily available for web. I'll have put on the coding, unless you wish to do that too. Let me know of your progress.

PLAGIARISM. It's kinda against the law, remember?

Anyway, you and I discussed this last week, right Andro? Yeah, I'll help collecting whatever data around San d'Oria as I can, including all of the shops and ranks and such. Whenever I go wired again. This whole wireless thing makes FFXI suck like a bitch, so I'll have to do it when no one is using the connection downstairs.

I'm well aware of that Loco, but you see, with the kind of knowledge the other sites have in finding all these information about all sorts of items and whatnot in the game, which they update daily as soon as possible, who's gonna come here? I am also well aware that what we're doing here is trying to improve the site and to get more visitors. Maybe I am just whining too much about this stuff but what the hey, I'll just stop bitching and offer my help.

If you need any information about jobs and what kind of strategies they should use when playing in an experience party, I can whip up something good.

As I said before, it is general information that every site has. So it is not plagiarism, it'll be plagiarism if they copy straight from the site without doing anything to it. If they are going only do that then its bad. But my assumption is that they take the information from there and put into an order and form that works for us. Because saying Copper Ingot, Goldsmithing lv 5, takes 4x copper ore, etc, that is not plagiarism its general information that every site has.

I would naturally not condon ripping straight from Allakhazam and putting up sayings its ours. You take the information and then put it together in our own format for ourselves. Though one does have to remember that the information is all the same where ever you go. So...its not as though that can be helped, telling people what it takes to make an item is not opinion, its fact and a simple straight forward fact. And you find dozen of site all with the same information, only difference their presentation. They are all plagiarizing each other because its all the same, it just something everyone knows, or needs to now. General information.

Oh and Divi check my previous post, you can do the NPC Shop Items that I talked abount. Just make sure you write down everything that I asked for. And Skai yeah sure, strategy guides would be nice. I've already got about half of the jobs already finished. Though I do not have the updated information on spells and such.

I would like to help too, but i don't have my own copy. I play on Omni's. But, i am good at doing research, so ,if you wanted, i could find general information from other sites and give them to you, and when i actually do play, give you Bastok's item shops and monsters on the outskirts of Bastok.
