Tidus is good for one thing and only one thing: Jecht Shot. Hands down the best technique in Blitzball. Unfortunately for me that's all he is, the Jecht Shot whore. I've never lost a game because of that shot, but I don't particularly care for the rest of Tidus' Blitzball abilities.

My favorite (that I can remember anyways) is actually Rin. For me he's the all-around character who can do almost anything you need him to do, short of being a goalie. I tend to use him as the center fielder simply because he can pass insanely long distances with no problems, so I keep him at the midfield line and pass to Tidus when he gets near the goal. Hell, I've taken Rin right up and scored some goals just for fun. Next to Tidus, he's my highest leveled character.

I'm mostly playing favorites though, since Rin is a great character in the story too. I just find him entertaining, and it reflects a lot in my Blitzball game. Rin and Tidus are basically the extent of my Blitzball team, everyone else is just kind of there. *shrug*

Brother kicks ass! What I do is get the entire enemy team to follow him, go in a huge circle, and head straight for the goal with no defenders to block the ball!!!

Brother and Tidus are the best in my opinion. Maybe Wakka is good too but I never bothered recruiting him... Besides Tidus and Brother I really don't care for anyone else.
