FFXII release date updates - Page 2

wow sorry to see you get owned like that neo, but it was kind of funny. i laughed to myself.

so its been a long time since the last post in here loco, have you seen any new updates? i tried looking for a date just in case, but i cant find anything anywhere that doesnt talk about 2005/2006 just like your article did. im guessing theres no real date set yet then, right?

SE will be releasing information about it eventually. They are finishing Advent Children, so information on that is the current topic. FFXII is in the shadows for the time being, and probably will be for a time to come until after Advent Children. So I figure in about like 2 or maybe even 3 months we will start hearing a bit more about it. Especially at E3 we will learn a lot I think.

Oh yeah, I'm certain we'll hear more at E3. I still doubt we'll have a definite release date, but we should at least have a quarter. If they say 4Q 2005, I'll honestly be surprised. I'm expecting 1Q 2006.

First quarter 2006 is now something that'll never happen.

The 2006 fiscal year is the earliest release date now, which means sometime after the fifteenth of April in 2006. It will likely be released in Japan at the end of April, and may not get here for another 3-6 months after that. Don't expect this game until NEXT August.

Oh...my...GOD. I'm so tired of SE's horseshit. Everytime I read or hear that they set the date back, it's like somebody is dropping a car battery on my sack. Honestly, I don't see the game coming out for another 10-12 fiscal years. Sweet holy mother of god this sucks. I bet they release FFXIII-FFXXXIX before XII comes out.

That Wada guy probably has no idea what the hell he's talking about in reality. "Yeah...it'll be out between, uh, this year and....next year". Thanks for the heads up, Wada, you son of a french lesbian whore. I'm about to start playing Mario again...with all of the annoying little games that franchise seems to crank out everytime you turn around.

Advent Children will never come out. FFXII will never come out. Hell, KHII will probably never come out either.

yea i was totaly pissed about them not having some form of a playable demo at E3 this year. i mean it was suppost to come out march this year then was pushed to november and now they say 2006! probly be relesed on the ps3 date...

Nope, it's supposed to be released before the PS3, which means we should see it in the States before December '06. I know, it's a really long time from now, especially since they were saying it'd be the early months of 2006, but they must have run into problems. They've guaranteed that the game will be released for the PS2 though, so I'm thinking (this is just my opinion) that it will be an early summer release, like June or July. That way, everyone can flock to the game and still have money for the $450 PS3 in December. >_<;;

Anyway, if they were good businessmen, that's how they'd play it. So yeah, give it another year. If the game's actually good, it might be worth the wait. Have patience.

They even said that FFXII could be a great marketing game for the backward compatibility for the PS3. They said that FFXII could be launched very close to the launch date of the PS3 and say "hey, you can play awsome games on the PS2, because you can" *enter plastic fake smile with a wink*....the thing is that is actually pretty close to what Wada said.

I mean seriously, calm the hell down. I'd rather have the games *complete* than rushed out at the last second buggy and disappointing.

FFXII's delays kinda worry me though, I mean you bring up KHII and AC like they're never coming out, but you see, at least we hearing more and more about them (new screens, info, and whatnot) as they approach the release date with no more delay.

FFXII on the other hand, I think the ONLY new info was the appearance of a new character (possibly a villian) in a new trailer, and that's it.

i agree with cain, id rather have a game take forever to come out and be complete than it come out a month after we hear about it and be buggy and incomplete where everything that they wanted in there isnt. i say take your time and get us a good COMPLETE game.

I don't know, maybe I'm the only one who is getting highly impatient with all the set backs and delays. They've been working on this game for a long time now, so I'm hoping that it is at the least....incredible. Anything shy of incredible and...well, I'll still play it. But they are working on alot over at SE as of late, so I should cut them some slack...but I won't. I'm impatient, fellas. Makes me want to stab my eye with something white hot and sharp when I hear that the release date is pushed back.

But I take it back about FF:AC....because there is a release date now...or so I've read. I don't know, maybe I've only dreamed it. But this thread isn't about FF:AC, so I'll just...walk....away.....

I HAVE AN OFFICIAL DATE!!!
For the Japanese release, unless it changes:

14 November 2005

Assuming this doesn't change within the coming months, that would place an American release sometime between March and June of 2006, and an International release anywhere from August of 2006 to early 2007.

I know, it still seems so far away, but at least there's a number on it now.
