Roy don't double post or spam. Watch out for that, its against the rules. Giving you the heads up.
Anyway, saw Fullmetal Alchemist on AS, and I am enjoying it. As Gil said, only 3 episodes have been aired so far. The two part pilot if you will, and Mother was on last night. It looks like it'll be a fun show. Me only annoyance is that Funimation picked it up. I hate those guys. -_- The only good thing they've had for them was Yu yu Hakusho, but I guess its two now. Wish Pioneer or Bandai had picked it up. But oh well. ~~Andromeda the Kitty~~

Anyways. I rather liked Funimation's work with Case Closed (except the fact they changed the name from Detective Conan... meh) Although I think Ed's voice could have been done a little better, and Al's got on my nerves for a little while. (until I got used to it) Though most of the voices seem fine to me.

Yes--I, too, am greatly enjoying FMA's Adult Swim run. As I (think I) mentioned before, I first tried downloading it last spring, but it was licensed as I was still downloading the first episode >_<.I first saw it at Otakon and I couldn't wait for its US release, and now it's here. If the first three episodes have been any indication of the rest of the show's quality, this is going to be one heck of a show (one that could potentially become one of my top 10 favorites ^^). I especially enjoyed yesterday's episode; I think it really helped demonstrate how close Ed and Al are. Also of note, I'm also greatly enjoying the air time L'Arc~en~Ciel is getting by them playing "Ready Steady Go!" With this national publicity, it may just help promote awareness of them...and maybe then they'll come back and perform another concert, which I would certainly be appreciated.

I saw FMA back when Anime-Keep fan-subbed it and I was really impressed. Great anime, and you guys who have only seen the first 3 or so episodes HAVE to stay tuned. It picks up pretty quick from there and gets to become a damn fine anime. Very interesting idea. Now, if you can, get the fansubs. The dubbing isnt' that great, IMO... That's my only beef with the anime on AS. The dub. I havent noticed a lot of heavy editting yet, but I'm sure it'll happen at some point. Always does. =/
Regardless, this is a great anime, stick around and stay tuned. It's worth it to see the entire series.

Man, I just saw this show, and it rules! I'm not a big anime fan, but I heard from a friend that it was cool, and I just saw the episode last night (12-4) and it ruled! I have one question, though. What is up with the little kid in the armor? He ****in scares me.

His name is Al and he lost his physical body when he and his brother (Ed) tried using alchemy to bring their mother back from the dead. Ed gave up his leg (I believe) to bind Al's soul into a suit of armor that was in the room at the time.
As far as the dub goes, I like it. Now, it may be because I've yet to hear the original Japanese dub, but I think it's definitely leaps and bounds above FUNi's usual work. I got really tired of hearing the same handful of voice actors used and reused for DBZ, Lupin III, Blue Gender, etc. I think their dub jobs have been increasing and I think it's safe to say that this is my favorite. The DVD's supposed to come out in a month or two and I'm hoping to eventually start buying the series (not right away, but...eventually). Personally, I'm hoping a friend of mine starts buying the DVDs as soon as they start coming out so I don't have to wait to hear the Japanese version, but I'll just have to wait and see ![]()

No it was his right arm that he used to make a Spirit Binding. But yeah, Al is pretty cool. I like the amount of expression that got into him, with him being a very rigid body not too capable to expression emotions other than verbally. He always looks sad though, but its the perspective of the helm that curves down that always gives him a depressed and frowning look. For a 14 year he is very depressed. I understand that the death and accident weights very heavily on him, but still. Kid needs to cheer up once and a while.

Ahh, so it was his arm he gave up? I know he lost an arm and/or a leg while trying to bring his mother back and whichever one he didn't lose because of that, he gave up to save Al's soul. Thanks for clearing that up, though. ^_^

Yes, Ed gave up BOTH his right arm and his right leg.
His arm for the transaction to bringing back their mom, and his leg for bringing back Al, if I remember correctly.

actually, i believe it was the other way around. if you read the manga, he still has his right arm before he summons al back to the armor. then it dissapears.

Yeah man, that's in the manga. That's not how it is in the anime.
We're talking about the anime, yo. =P I distinctly remember Ed making the seal with one arm and his blood, and he had both his legs. Then his leg disappeared. I could be wrong.. I'm just stating what I remembered.
