| | I dunno, I think the difficulty of the bosses is really up in the air. It's kind of like FF Tactics, actually it's just like it. The difficulty is dependant upon which jobs/secondary abilities you set up. I mean you talk about $toss/Mime as a strategy to beat the game or Neo-X Death. Well that strat is listed in the guide as the best option to win. But can you win if you used Trainers? Or What if you used Sorceror's? So I think the difficulty is truly dependant upon obvious factors such as Level and equipment. But also upon the jobs & combinations you've set up. In my opinion the game had fair difficulty, but it wasn't overly hard or overly easy. Some bosses were tough for me and some weren't. I thought Shiva, Gilgame, and Odin were the worst bosses to fight. Obviously that Shin-Ryu dragon and Omega were harder than hell. I thought all the X-Deaths were easy, except the end boss. I found him challenging but beatable. As far as the endings, I've only seen the one where everyone survives. I didn't know it would change at all if some don't survive. Unless someone tells me there are drastic changes, I'm not even putting the game in. It was a great game, I just can't be bothered.

And it would appear that everyone who has posted in this thread used the same strategy for X Death; $toss. I had three Samurai constantly whoring that move, and one White Mage casting Cure 3 every turn. They were all equipped with Winged Boots. In the hasty manner that I played through the second half of the game, I didn't find the time to beat Omega and Shinryu. If I ever play through again, I'll be sure to spend some time training in the N Zone in order to fight those bosses. | ||||||||

| | I think the game made it so you turn your party into a group of tanks, but there wasn't much you could do with them once you'd done that. I never even bothered to fight Shinyru or Omega weapon and I just simply can't be bothered going to fight them on my game, though I lost my old save so I would have to go through the entire game again. FFV is my favourite of the old-school FF's but as will all of the old ones, so much more could of been done with it so you never saw the full potential of having tanks. Oh and X-death was a peice of piss with me, I just used mime and $toss.
