Thank you. I use Paint and Pixia, both really crappy programs. I try to make the best of them, though. I bet your banners aren't as bad as you make them sound.

sorry been so inactive. had a lot to do (ffxi) lol....welcome to the club Radiance. that is very good for paint might i add. i hate that damn program . well...i wish i could say i've done something recently but that would be a lie. i really haven't. i like ur banner streamline, pretty nice. simple, but nice.

Lol, yeah I looked at your banner Radiance, knew that couldn't be paint alone. I am not familiar with Pixia, but anything is better than paint. I did some things with paint a while back, but once you get Photoshop you never turn back.

anyway. i decided to to a mini graphic project for myself.. i just thought it was a funny thing to do so i took the picture and manipulated it to have my name in it. It took about 20 - 30 min to do so it was easy.. well, very easy to do just cut, paste and touchup. I might use this for a banner or something but here it is:

hey guys...and gals. welcome to the club sexy_eyes. i hope you'll get better but you must practice. if you don't...well...just practice. ummm...i made a wallpaper. different from my usual style of things (abstract). i know, its kind of girly but i had to make something happy..looking...for a change. so, here it is. i know, the typo sucks but i made this really late and added that at the last second. i'm sure i'll change it.

edit: oops, i forgot to say something about your little manipulation you did streamline. like you said, it wasn't that much. but im really impressed how you got the text to be exactly ilke the other text....did you change all the text? or did you just change the streaml1ne part? anyway, it looks cool and quite funny too. good job.

Hey everyone. I'm jsut here to tell you that I'm switching ISPs so if I go offline for a while, take care of the club, K² and Andro. Prodigy --> Earthlink. Lol, Prodigy wanted a reason. I told my mom to tell them I DON'T NEED NO STINKIN' REASON! Lol but prodigy sucks. So, yeah. Take care, guys. Hopefully there won't be any trouble with this.

the original picture had almost all of the letters in my name... except for the 1, i think... i had to manipulate that one by using the smudge tool. I copied the "I", trimmed it down and smudged it a little bit and made it look lilke a 1. so thats about it.. like i sais its not much but eh.. i likes it .

EDIT: If your still wondering who John Carmack is, he is the co-owner of id software... the ppl who brought you classics such as DOOM (IEEEEEE ), Quake. ect...

You copied and pasted the different things and tried to mimic the effects on letters you didnt have right? There are a few subtle things I've noticed that are a little different. I could be wrong in my perception of things, as I'm nearly blind, but eh <<; The darker letters and parts of the letters are too spread apart. If you notice they're kind of in blotches on the letters. Also, your text isnt perfectly aligned. If you look at the other text, you could draw straight lines on the tops and bottoms of the lines/words, and they'd be completely parallel. Your text is a little off on that. The 1 is too grey and doesnt have really any texture to it. You could fix that with proper use of the clone brush. But otherwise, it looks pretty good. I was just staring at it lol

lol, thanks for the comments. Yea, I didnt notice the text alignment part when I saved it.. About the 1, I really havent used the clone tool so I just smudged it a little bit so I didnt worry about the textured... good thing I saved the letters as a jpeg. Well, im off to correct it now.. l8er for now mates!

A note on clone tool, it's really easy. I'm supposing youre using Photoshop, if not sorry <<; But just get the letters you need to fix on a separate layer, lock transparency on it, and you wont really have to worry about going out of the lines and whatever. Clone tool looks like itll be a bit of a pain there though, since youre just cloning off of some letters. But it should do; np.
